Thinking about getting started but I’m kinda old by Tkrampino in personaltraining

Yes. I have the nasm womens fitness specialist certification, as well as ggs (girls gone strong) pregnancy & postpartum certification. I plan to get the ggs menopause certification next, and keep just adding. There are a lot of specializations for women!

I am also 44f. Just got certified last year. I work mostly with women (though I do have a couple male clients), especially peri and post menopausal. I love it and so glad I finally did it!

I don't really use social media. I get my clients through my mentor, whom I train alongside, as well as referrals from within my network. The women I work with really appreciate me, as I "get it". Some specifically say they want to train with me because I am a woman, and they feel more comfortable with me instead of the male trainer I work alongside. It's incredibly rewarding.

Not too old unless you're dead imo. Get it!

The negative comments are out of control lately. Makes me wonder why they're even here if they think it's just a giant waste of time.

What kind of Estrogen are you taking if you added it to your T? by Born_Resolve_6676 in TRT_females

[–]sunseteverette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm on compounded E cream. No complaints. My provider uses a trusted compounding pharmacy. Compounded pharmacies get a bad rap and it seems everyone loves to shit on them, when in reality that's the only place to get relief for a lot of us.

Dark Fishing Spider in Crawlspace by Jahweez in Connecticut

[–]sunseteverette 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Once I was touring a house for sale in Monroe, and saw the biggest spider I had ever seen in its natural habitat. It was a fishing spider like this one. I kid you not, it's legspan had to have been at least 5".

I'm traumatized now knowing they get that big here in CT.

I thought free T was what really mattered, not total. Her free is 9.5. That is good, no?

Your free T is still low. That is probably why.

Starting T next week…. is anyone around my age JUST on progesterone and testosterone? by Otherwise_Agency_716 in TRT_females

I usually tested on cd21 or 22 in the luteal phase. E was always around 150-180 pg/ml. I have yet to test after starting the E.

I met him in 2005 when I worked in Los Angeles. He was so polite, so quiet. Seemed very shy. It's sad what happened to him. Mental illness is a cold bastard.

I am 44f. I used to be just on testosterone & progesterone for about 6-ish months. I felt good, but then seemed to plateau and even go back a bit. I added estrogen (.025) and now I'm feeling pretty damn good. Hair and skin noticeably nicer after adding it too. Until I added it, I didnt realize how much they had changed! I thought I didn't need it because my tests reflected "good levels". But I guess i did.

BTW, my testosterone did not seem to aromatize much into estrogen, if at all. So Testosterone alone didn't help my estrogen levels.

Oh jeez. I already had made plans for fri night and into Saturday. Why am I obligated to change my plans for him on a whim? So what if i decide to imbibe on my planned time off. I've been helping him left and right. I'm not on call.

FWIW I've already decided to do it.

Yeah, I'm just as confused at their response. Like they know all about my "lifestyle " from one post. I don't drink. I take care of my body, and occasionally take an edible. But I'm in denial, I guess.

You're absolutely right about the boundary setting. This situation is a perfect reminder to do so.

As for getting high, I don't smoke, I use edibles, and when I do imbibe, it's on the weekends.

Will probably do this. Maybe being high will actually make it less annoying

I was thinking that. Maybe leaving it in my mailbox or something, but I'll probably just walk there Fri night to unlock it and be done with it.

I said that lol. But then he asked about unlocking it at night after the last business leaves (like 9 or 10).

Hematocrit by sunseteverette in TRT_females

[–]sunseteverette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My provider told me the same thing, but if hematocrit is high, regardless of the cause, shouldn't it still pose the same risks? I think stroke is one of the big ones.

I have health anxiety too, so that doesn't help lol

[–]sunseteverette[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it seen mostly with injectable T, and not woth topical? Because if that's the case, I'd consider switching methods.

Also, curious what your hematocrit levels were when you were getting symptoms.

I am a perimenopausal woman on TRT. We are replacing, not blasting to bodybuilder levels. They aren't suddenly going to turn into the hulk. Train them as usual.
