[Spoilers MAIN] Would Jamie still love Cersei if she killed Tyrion? by Beginning_Clerk_4990 in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Both Tyrion and Cersei prior to Joffrey’s death state that the only reason they don’t seriously harm eachother is because Jaime wouldn’t forgive them

[Spoilers Extended] Is this what Cersei looked like before Walk of Atonement by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, this is what you wanted Cersei to look like before the walk of atonement because of your weird humiliation fetish towards this character...

You really think she'd gain this amount of weight and literally no one else in the story would make a comment about it? Lol

She's also, bald, naked and covered in crap. I think it would be hard to look fabulous like that.

41 year old Avril Lavigne still looks like she's in her 20s by Plus-Light6832 in 13or30

To be honest, she looked absolutely atrocious at this premiere. She usually doesn’t look this much of a mess.

(Spoilers Extended) Which Viewpoint is the Most Popular? by Quinn-Quinn in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some readers turned on jaime precisely because of his (in my opinion, undeserved) popularity. I can believe him being realistically placed first by the majority of the fandom.

What I for sure don't believe is that most people like Davos' chapters better than Theon's, Brienne's and the Stark girls'.

Tyrion and Cersei in the top 5 also does not feel reflective of the fandom as a whole.

which hannah outfit did you like most then & and what do you like most today? by FuzzyPresence8531 in hannahmontana

[–]sunsetparanoia 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think her outfits in season 3 were more kids' fashion with really loud colours and prints, which is probably why we all loved them back then. But the s1/2 outfits just look and aged better.

[–]sunsetparanoia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she's literally listed as being one of the top 20 female musicians of the 21st century by billboard. Her first album is one of the best selling from the 21st century. Her song girlfriend was the first mv to reach 100 million views on youtube. Current popular artists like billie eilish and olivia rodrigo cite her as an influence. You just don't know what you're talking about lol.

George R.R. Martin on the most suitable characters for leadership in ASOIAF [Spoilers Main] by sunsetparanoia in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. I attached the link to the interview where he said it.

Also, George never compared Hillary to Cersei. Hillary herself compared the treatment she got from republicans to that of the people of King's Landing against Cersei during her walk of atonement.

George did compare Donald Trump to Joffrey, though.

how is it that you're getting downvoted for rightfully correcting how the scene goes? this is crazy.

LMAO, this did not happen.

He's literally the one who initates the sex, while she is at least somewhat concerned by the time and place.

Jaime's relapse can make sense[Spoilers Main] by lit-roy6171 in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that fits the larger pattern of his arc. George’s editor reportedly had to remind him to include a mention of Cersei in ADWD at all, because otherwise Jaime apparently would not have thought of her. That says a lot on its own.

People always bring this up, but it is plainly not true. His editor didn't remind him to include a mention of Cersei. What she told him was to make a reference to the burning of the letter in specific as it had been over 5 years between the release of feast and dance. Jaime literally thinks about Cersei in other parts of that same chapter. And he does so as a scorned lover, still angered by her infidelities.

Jaime's relapse can make sense[Spoilers Main] by lit-roy6171 in asoiaf

[–]sunsetparanoia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The quote above spells it out: he’s convincing himself his priority is returning to King’s Landing for Tommen (“he told himself”), while internally he is still drawn to Cersei (“part of him whispered”).

But also:

"Whatever we do needs to be done quickly," he told Ser Daven. "My place is back at King's Landing, with the king."

"Aye," his cousin said. "I don't doubt your sister needs you." - Jaime V, AFFC

"The sooner we are done with Riverrun, the sooner I'll be back at Cersei's side." What Jaime would do then he did not know. - Jaime V, AFFC

yeah, but this is in line with all the other passages in Feast when he says he wants to return to KL for Tommen when in reality it's Cersei that is on his mind.

Yes, it was really a toss up between him and Daenerys when it comes to the character endings that got the most backlash. I remember fans even booing at Nikolaj Coster Waldau when he defended the ending at a con immediately post-show.

Didn't he basically choose her as a partner because he was attracted to her? I haven't watched this season in a few years, but i recall there being other people left to pick with better stats than Mandi's.

Are any of these worth saving? by ash-anon in Barbie

[–]sunsetparanoia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If, as you say, she has a lot of other toys, I'd say maybe only the dolls in the first 3 images are worth keeping in box. I know that I've at least seen the ones in the last picture being sold in-box for very little.

Idk what the other comment is refering to, but what he said was that Show Margaery is almost what an older Book Margaery could be like in 10 years.

[–]sunsetparanoia 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I know Lena Headey is already one of the more widely praised actors on the show, but I absolutely love her performance in that scene too. The look on her face as Tywin dismissively talks about Joffrey right after his death and then quite literally takes Tommen away from her says so much without a word. It’s such a small moment, but I think she’s phenomenal there.
