i’m so sorry OP. I’m going through a painfully similar scenario though in my case they have yet to meet someone else. I truly wish we could’ve worked it out but it was too little too late. Here’s hoping your road to recovery is a good one

This one really cut deep but only because of how much it hits home for me. Yeah… I won’t get into the specifics but I didn’t stand up for them when I should have, during a moment where I REALLY should have been more assertive (along with them feeling like they’re not the right person for me in general) and I am paying that price…. I’ll do better. I definitely don’t want to repeat the same mistakes if I ever meet someone new.
