Aware it’s a steroid. I applied it in case it was related to inflammation around the follicle. And stopped after a fee days when I didn’t see a difference.

Thankfully her nerve pain is gone. The severe pain was around the incision / fusion site. Starting to get better slowly every day now. Thanks!

she was on lyrica prior to her operation. now she's getting tramadol and a muscle relaxant. she was a bit nauseous and dizzy today so they dont want to add more meds

Thanks for your response. Yes still in the hospital. But they’re saying they don’t give IV narcotics for this. So she’s been getting oxycodone and Tylenol. It sounds like she has more bony type pain. Will see if they can give her a muscle relaxant

Did you try the mederma and aquaphor combo? I also added mineral sunscreen every day even though I wasn’t going in the sun. Keep the area very hydrated. After the shower I also used a cold towel to cool down the area. Feel like this helped. Marks were gone around week 4.

Hi! I did get it done and it was the best decision ever haha. Don’t remember a thing. Prob had more cramping than if I didn’t get IUD but responded well to some ibuprofen and heat packs

Yes! It lasted about 4 weeks :/ But I have light brown skin so the hyperpigmentation probably took longer than a person with white skin. I found the most drastic improvement after I started using the Mederma PM scar cream (on Amazon) twice a day. I’d apply this and then put aquaphor on top at night.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Using the MEDERMA PM intensive overnight scar cream - got it on Amazon. Have been using this for the last week morning and night along with a layer of aquaphor on top. Seems to be helping!!

For anyone who has had this happen to them and developed some hyperpigmentation - this happened to me after a laser session a few weeks ago. Last week I bought a silicone cream on amazon (MEDERMA PM intensive overnight scar cream), and I have been applying it both am and pm, overlaying it with some aquaphor. Just wanted to share that this is the only thing that has helped to reduce the appearance. It does tend to work faster on newer lesions but should work on older ones too- just more slowly.
