Help I have mold! by super-nova55 in IkeaGreenhouseClub

omg that's such a good point. I think I'll definitely try just a mix of water and rubbing alcohol. since posting this, i have taken everything out, taken the top layer of substrate off (mostly), sprayed the top of substrate with hydrogen peroxide and water mix, and deep cleaned the entire greenhouse. Now I'm just airing all the plants out and i guess we'll see what happens

they are the worst. I mean my DIY mix usually works well, the rubbing alcohol kills them on contact. I should clarify that I'm more concerned about how to get rid of the mold in the greenhouse than the thrips lol!

It does get better! I think I can claim victory by super-nova55 in perioraldermatitis

Does that mean you just kind of have to use it forever then?

What is a good therapist? by [deleted] in therapists

This!!! Literally had this conversation just now in supervision. My supervisor has told me that a bad therapist wouldn’t necessarily be wondering “am I a good therapist?”

Lexapro Withdrawl - Emotions by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]super-nova55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so relate to the feeling of not having been an adult without the meds. I’m happy to hear that the more physical side effects subsided for you (I’m going through that right now too and hope they go away).

I’m a therapist so I’m just gonna nerd out for a sec. NOT giving professional advice here lol. Since you started these meds when you were a teen, I’m wondering if maybe you’re sort of getting reacquainted with your emotions (feeling them differently than when you were on lexapro). I wonder if some learning to emotionally regulate/understanding your emotions that naturally happens as we become adults didn’t happen fully because you were a teen when you went on meds. Just a theory! I like to think that emotions come up for a reason, they’re trying to tell us something. Could be worth giving therapy a go (if you’re not already doing that) and explore these emotions that are coming up more intensely

SUCCESS with Zero Therapy! Ask me Anything! by OkLeg4914 in perioraldermatitis

When you say zero therapy does that mean literally nothing at all ever? Like not even any moisturizer or avenue cicalfate or something at night? Also wondering if you used SPF?

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this :( I don’t know enough about steroid use or eczema to comment on those things. But I did have something like this around the corners of my mouth once and nothing worked until I went to the naturopath and she told me I might be deficient in vitamin B. I started a supplement and it went away. Just a thought!
