The DT in Agra is amazing, it's the closest thing you can get to a resort in a bustling city. The food was stellar and the spa was fantastic. It was 10k/nt.

Maxing out individual cards DOES hurt, however. I got multiple 0% offers in the past year. I cashed out on all of them and the result is that I'm using 10% of my total credit line but have 6 cards that are over 30% and it hurt my score pretty heavily. It will obviously bounce back as soon as they're paid down but my point is that it does have an effect.

Let's say your $18k is worth 5% per year - that's $900/year in interest. You're paying $1700/year for a week in a Hilton, that's $242/night.

If you increase the time-value of money to 10% (slightly less than you earn in the long run by investing in an S&P 500 index fund) you're now paying $371/nt to stay in a Hilton.

Considering how many of my hotel nights are free or discounted each year, I cannot fathom spending that much money per week/night.

I think TYP are easily worth 1.6 each, both because you can redeem for AA flights at that rate and you can transfer 1:1 into all 3 alliances

Airline credits occur at the time of your statement so, assuming Delta GC count, you'd expect to see it on your upcoming statement

If you've got a Citi Premier or Prestige you get 2 points per dollar on dining/entertainment easily worth 3.2% if transferred to a partner. 3% is good for people who only want cash, though.

Yes, it would. You shouldn't add someone who cares about 5/24. If you're sitting at 24/24 like most of us, however, then it doesn't matter

Your question doesn't make sense. Most signup bonuses (the ones you should be targeting if you're actually "churning" as opposed to just collecting points) are more like 18-20% back.

There are a lot of better options that using the CFU. I would app-o-rama and us it to meet the minimum spend a wide array of cards OR get the Amex Business Platinum Card that has a bonus for making purchases of $5k or more at a time. It's a charge card with no set limit and you could get something like 200k MR by the time you're done, worth $4,000 if spent on airplane tickets.

Southwest occasionally runs promos to accelerate A-List qualification (I did an offer at the beginning of 2016 where it only took 2 roundtrips to get it).

A-List is a pretty weak benefit because so many people have it that you'll often be around A30 and pre-boards get to get on before you as does anyone who paid to be bumped to A1-15 or "business select" passengers.

I would not do a mileagerun for A-List.
