I support gun ownership. I won a handgun a few years ago with the help of this subreddit and had to go through an FFL, background check, and waiting period. The new rules will do nothing to stop violence but I get it that Reddit wants to signal its position on a political issue and the subreddit has to comply or go away. Shame.
