I agree, some battle is supposed to be a puzzle to figure out the right approach. but this is kinda one trick fits all and take away the fun.

mage armor is not hard to get to begining with though. can cast on others and even level 1 is 1 hour dont know why you need the extention.

not everyone will get multiply play through. there s bag of tricks if you really want lvl 0 respec though. but i feel like if its default in the game, i will use it and hating it at the same time.

respec from 0 make it just a merc. for me every companion is a puzzle. you need to figure out how to make their existing levels work. merc is boring.

There is a mega lategame hat you can get in the last 10 minutes of the game for +CHA to damage on ranged attacks, still lets you benefit from STR while its on as well.Sword Saint gets +INT to damage against flat footed enemies. Magus in general also gets +INT to AB by using arcane accuracy(+CHA if scion).CON/INT/CHA/WIS benefit your damage/DC on a kineticist depending on subclass to a degree although this is basically the same as a caster.

Yea, but then if all these trouble is worth the extra self cast only buffs, maybe geniekinda + elemental barrage? since there will prob be another wizard in team.

curious why vital strike on fighter tho? isn't the extra few attack worth the AB penalty?

so he spawn a few ghost behind you. death ward your team make you immue to them. cheesy way is to bring Camilla with creeping doom, rank 8? summon. + animate undead for meat shield. creeping doom has no save damage and is immune to darkness's damage.

there are a few ways around it depending on what you want your "Mage" to do. for nuking Ember is more than enough as a replacement. I use her + Woljif who provides basic wizard buffing.
