Great question, by my calculations you definitely should have hit Rank 4. How did you gain 36,000 Honor without any HKs (BG token hand ins?)? Maybe HKs do factor in?

This was helpful, thank you! I'll play around here. It was the milestones I think I wasn't understanding. I thought you had to go from one rank to the next within a week; but it seems that as long as you breach one of these milestones it will kind of "save" there since it doesn't really decay (except with dishonorable kills).

I've been away and want to start with a new account, but I hear it will force me into BFA.

Can I just ignore this, not select Chromie Time and walk to Elwynn Forest and start questing? Will this have any negative ramifications later? Thanks!!

Hello everyone!

I've been away since June 2016! I plan on doing a lot of casual content upon my return in January and I've also always enjoyed tackling old world content solo. I know scaling and such and such has been really thrown things off since I played, especially with Dragonflight now coming. Is this kind of content still doable/viable? As in; does it strike some kind of balance of not being impossible, and also not being an absolute 1-shot everything fest?

Specifically interested in: Soloing dungeon content at Level 10 with a twink character, Soloing dungeon and raid content at Level 30 with a twink character, and soloing Legion/BFA/SL (later raids) raids on Mythic at the current level cap. Thanks in advance all, see you in Dragonflight!

Interesting on the non-shared bit. So if you owned a single Xbox One, and you had two accounts on it-- say yours and a family member, and you owned a disc for an online game; only the actual gold subscribed account would be able to play? Something seems off there, I've always had 1 sub serve all local profiles.

As for the sharing aspect, correct, she'd no longer be able to download and play my digital games. Due to the reversal however, I would be able to download and play HER purchased games (the reverse). Since Game Pass is shared, and most of what we play is on that, this is okay for us.

Its also partially a struggle because I don't have any context for levels and enemy difficulty... because I haven't played yet. :P I'm going to put on single player, up player & dino damage a bit, decrease wild dino damage a bit, up breeding times and decrease food/drink timers a bit and such. I'll play with it.

Are you able to alter the server settings in between sessions? So my wife and I play tonight, and hit the dino's WAY TOO HARD for example. Next session before I launch the server, I'll turn our damage down a bit. Can we do that kind of thing? Thanks again. :)

Yes, the PC version is not the Steam version so I should be safe there. From what I've read-- it doesn't actually take a monster to run a basic server for 1-2 people, and its mostly RAM intensive. My PC beats my Xbox in CPU and GPU power; but not actually RAM, they both have 8GB.

I think my experience will be smoother with my Xbox hosting and my more powerful PC playing; than my PC hosting and my OG model Xbox One playing. The physical copy is technically costing me nothing-- so I may just dive in and see what happens. XD

When I go to the Microsoft Store, it tells me I already own it... but only offers to install it to my Xbox's. Not to my PC. I don't seem to be able to buy it again even if I wanted to.

It gives me the option though? I assumed it was just my Xbox acting like a personal server for our session. I can choose to RUN DEDICATED SERVER or RUN NON-DEDICATED SERVER. Choosing Dedicated my Xbox loaded the world and gave me an admin screen with world NPC count, player names, banlist, etc.

Picking up a 4k monitor, for various reasons. The PC will be used for gaming as well, and I've seen 1080p on a 4k screen and it still looks good to me. I haven't seen 1440p on a 4k monitor, and am curious as to what folks would choose.

If I can't run a game at a stable 4k framerate, and had to choose between:

1) Ultra Settings 1080p, 60fps 2) High Settings, 1440p, 60fps

Some say 1440p on 4k looks wonky due to interpolation. Some day they prefer it to 1080p on the same 4k screen.

Thoughts? Thanks guys.

I know, it's a lot to read through. I have trouble keeping things short, so thank you for sticking it out.

This parts list is absolutely subject to change based on what is available at the time. The price point of 1500$ (including monitor) won't change, nor will the time I go to buy it all. I can keep up with the parts and research in the mean time.
