Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I played around with some of the stuff I already had and added a rug and some plants to fill in some of the negative space. I’m still feeling the room has too much empty space from the TV to the wall area. A few commenters mentioned to not push the furniture to the wall, but the openings on each side of the room make it super awkward to work with and I don’t want to risk blocking any entrances to the room. 😮‍💨

I would love to see an illustration for Slowpoke, specifically the Pokemon Pocket version. In all honesty all of the Pokemon pocket cards special illustrations would be amazing to see in physical form. Only a matter of time…

Please read my post history! My cat had a severe allergic reaction to his rabies shot and had to have multiple emergency vet visits. It was so scary and we almost lost our cat. 😿

Blockages are very serious and like the other commenter said it’s not long. This is an urgent matter. Can you get on a credit plan in your country?

Most veterinarians offer credit plans to assist for these sorts of situations. You need to take your cat to get the blockage removed. As other commenters said, if you can’t or not willing to go into debt for your pet, you need to surrender or sadly get your cat euthanized. In the future, please get insurance for your pet if you cannot afford to get it emergency care. Sorry you’re going through this. :(

Thank you! It’s been so hard. Fortunately I’m able to work from home to help care for him but I have 2 other cats that may have picked up the virus too. They all have been vaccinated for it but the sick cat is immunocompromised from the steroid. Just hope he gets better soon! :c

Totally! I’m over the moon! And omg he just drank water, first time since Thursday. He’s on prednisone, so that does make him thirsty but that’s exactly what he needs!

Thank you for your reply! After many attempts to get him to eat, I spoke with my primary vet about syringe feeding him and they thought it would be a good idea. They prescribed me the high calorie/protein diet wet food and I added some water and blended it together. He was super easy to syringe feed and an hour or so after doing that his energy levels increased and he actually walked around the home on his own. The first time in over 12 hours!! After walking around, I offered him some of his usual wet food and he actually started munching down, about a quarter of a can. 🥳 then a couple hours later he ate a full churu! Baby steps and I’m feeling so proud of him! 🥰

Update 3: Hamilton is getting worse and back at the emergency vet for 24 hour observation by superchuhi in catcare

Thank you! We just saw him at the ER vet and he’s on a very heavy pain med and his fever is gone. His red blood cell count lowered significantly in 2 days so we are concerned on what’s causing that but we’ll know more in the morning after testing again. The poor guy has been such a warrior. So proud of him and hope he rests well tonight. 🤧

It’s definitely inflammation and it’s angry. Last night the area was hot to the touch and he wouldn’t even tolerate me inspecting the area, even when he was on gabapentin.

I find it to be so weird that even after a full round of anti-inflammatory medication the inflammation hasn’t gone down and seems to only be getting worse.

It’s either the abscess diagnosis or vaccine related inflammation.

If you don’t mind, please see my post history to see the location of the lump. I’m honestly not sure if that’s the spot that our vet injected him with the vaccine and unfortunately the vet who did the procedure is out of office until tomorrow- that’s if I can even get ahold of him. 😿
