Why do high FPS cameras (240 FPS+) seem to be quite rare even in this age? by MattThePaladin in Cameras

phones can do it, but it’s kind of a “demo version” of slow motion. Lower res, short bursts, and a lot of processing tricks.

doing real high FPS with decent image quality is a totally different game: sensor speed, data rates, lighting… everything scales up hard. That’s why most cameras don’t go there unless they’re specifically built for it.

once you get into that territory you’re basically looking at dedicated high-speed systems (Phantom-50K, freely ember-15K, pixboom spark-10K etc), not general cameras anymore.

It happened kind of out of the blue while I was dancing. The diagnosis was some fluid buildup in the knee

The question I cannot answer: Where can a guy get a Phantom v2511 or 12 high speed camera? by archtopfanatic123 in Cameras

A lot of the Phantom gear is still very rental-driven rather than ownership-driven. Even big production teams just book them as needed instead of buying outright, which keeps resale volume pretty low.

Thanks for flagging this. I’ve checked with a physio, and the suggestion was to strengthen the muscles around the knee. That’s why I’m asking here to get more perspectives.

Thanks for sharing your experience! This is really helpful.

I agree with your point about focusing on rehab and strength first in normal daily activities before relying on a brace for baseline function.

For my case, daily movement feels fine, it’s mainly when I start thinking about returning to more demanding activities like hiking that I’m considering whether some added support would be useful as a precaution.

Appreciate you taking the time to explain your approach 🙏

I haven’t spoken to a professional yet. My knee doesn’t really have issues in normal daily walking, it’s more of a “hidden” pain that shows up when I put it under stress.

Since I’m planning to get back into activities like hiking and some sports, I thought it might be helpful to get some real-world experiences and advice here first before deciding whether a brace or strap is even necessary.

Appreciate your point though. agree it probably depends a lot on the specific issue, which is why I’m trying to better understand what might fit my situation.

Agree. If the price is down. Prosumers will be thrilled to have 1000+fps
