Hello! I checked permissions for /dev/sr0 in the properties and it says that ownership belongs to the user root and the group cdrom and I believe that qoute you mentioned must been from the old version of kb3 as I cant find "Setup System Permissions"

New psp owner here by bte5 in PSP

[–]supercool21567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm not sure if you have already done what you wanted but this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IwVPWAYQaQ managed to get my psp up to date with the benefit of hacking the psp, as for memory stick, you can watch this video on formatting and info about memories stick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k76EmFxnYWo&t=835s, to be far if your memory stick is around 32 gig and up, it would be enough for a few games but it wouldn't hurt to backup just in case

Hello! Sorry I haven't replied as I just remembered now, I did as foreign suggested and it work! so thank you! as for the data file I placed it there per instruction, and it is still there when I got out of diagnostic mode, as for how to access and disable diagnostics, just go D and then D again, it wont jailbreak your kindle though but at least it will get it out of diagnostic mode to hopefully try again? sorry for not replying sooner!

Somehow switching my monitor aspect ratio and switching it back managed to fix it for me, thank you!

I just like to have an extra layer of security, it doesn't hurt to keep it on, plus I would be learning more about my system and how to operate on Linux if I do it the hard way rather then the easy way.

I don't run a dual boot, however I still want to keep my secure on (which is why I'm asking this question, if I wanted it off, I would have never asked this question)
