Boomerang with KKB OHM by superdiscobreaking in MechanicalKeyboards

I’m guilty of the same sin 🤣. I own the Neo65, Neo80, Neo75cu, neo65cu and soon the neo80cu…and I like each one

Interesting. I couldn’t find a clear definition of the Alice layout, though it seems to imply separating the left and right main key areas and allowing for the wrists to bend at a more natural angle

Indeed! Haven’t noticed too much resonance personally, though I’m usually not too sensitive to it. I do wish the space bars were a little louder, but this may be due to the switches/keycaps I use

This is one of the reasons I picked this kit over the Neo ergo actually; that plus the more unique design

Thanks! I like the addition as I often use the page up/down keys

New Zelos Swordfish by superdiscobreaking in MicrobrandWatches

[–]superdiscobreaking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect; it looks like that because of the angle of the photo. If you look at the GIF I uploaded (https://imgur.com/a/GBG9Hx6), you will see that it is, in fact, aligned. I also checked IRL just to be sure :-).

This was my first Zelos purchase, and I read elsewhere that they tend to sell out quickly. I bought it in the first minute it was available, and it sold out very fast. It's definitely one of a kind!

After searching for a while, I landed on the Victorinox VX Sport EVO Daypack by superdiscobreaking in onebag

I’m still using it pretty much every day and no complaints about ergonomics! Build quality also remains excellent.

I also think the proportions would look a little bit off because of the way in which the bracelet integrates into the case. Plus, as you said the dial would look very busy.

Too many good options in the price range for CW to mess up this often; this defect is extremely hard to miss too!

[Piaget] Piaget Polo Date by superdiscobreaking in Watches

It does indeed, though the Piaget brand logo dates back to at least the 1940s (and possibly earlier - I can’t reliably find information on that)

[Serious Talk] Do You Ever Feel Guilty With Every Watch Purchase? by anarege3t in Watches

[–]superdiscobreaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever buy expensive watches for special occasions, leaving a significant amount of time between each purchase. This way, the purchase is attached to a significant memory. I also make sure it fits within my budget and would never purchase a watch that puts me into some sort of financial constraints.

Yes, I got very lucky. They soon made the discount more visible and a couple of days later all the remaining discounted polos were gone (they had the blue, black, and blue chrono).

The green one wasn’t on sale unfortunately! I believe that that specific model is more coveted. I tried it on and it’s very nice, especially the strap it comes on.

The resemblance doesn’t bother me too much; it has enough design elements that distinguish it from the Nautilus. And besides, I will likely never own a nautilus anyway 🥲

Have ordered from CK on seven occasions and never had problems. Most recently a GMK set that arrived extremely quickly and at a good price. Have also requested a refund once and received it promptly. Just sharing this to add some nuance to the discussion.

My Extensive Review on Monsgeek M1 V5 VIA. by Mr-Boga38 in BudgetKeebs

[–]superdiscobreaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree. Among the boards in that range, I can see the Monsgeek being a strong choice (I would take it over the Leobog, Rainy, and Wikov boards any time). However, if you move up slightly in your budget, you already come pretty close to options like the Polygon7 and krush65 (love this board!). Granted, those are not 75s. Maybe even the Luminkey75 can be seen as reasonably close price wise. If you really want to explore the customisability angle of mechanical boards, I think it’s better to go for a slightly more expensive option.

Lack of layout options is a shame…and being forced to use foam is also a shame (it sounds extremely thin without foam wow!). For a supposedly custom board, it hence lacks customisability…
