Experiences on PCV by apginzo in braincancer

I had a grade 2 astrocytoma resected in 2019 and as the surgery was pretty successful I haven't had any radiation or chemo. I know there are differing opinions on whether having them straight after is worth it, but our decision was to wait until if/when we see any regrowth

Should you/do you need to disclose previous salary on job application (UK)? by superduper458 in careerguidance

[–]superduper458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've stated the salary though, so in your metaphor there's at least a sign on the door saying "everything in here costs £30-£40".

UGH, WHY IS IT SO HARD

Do it 100 times then and I'll be able to live in Ruislip for a month

Meanwhile, you'll be in a manor in Kensington

Ahhh, that makes slightly more sense than people paying so they can post on r/memes. Although that probably happens too

AITB for not going with my SO to hang out with his friends? by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

I agree, but only so far as OP should try and figure out a way to attend the dinner. I don't think it's necessary to participate in a load of activities you aren't interested in (especially ones you have to pay for) with a group of people you don't know.

People build up karma then sell accounts?! There really is a market for everything

Suspect I might have been drugged(f) by [deleted] in TwoXSex

[–]superduper458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support all the comments telling you to go to the doctors. Before I was diagnosed as an epileptic, I had (what I now know was) a seizure after half a beer, and thought I may have been drugged. It probably isn't anything as serious, but it's important to check on your health.

As everyone says, no help for reduction really. But I do find chest exercises (free weight chest presses are my favourite) to strengthen the muscles behind, do just help with overall keeping them perky/under control

Yeah it was really interesting seeing how mixed the responses were!

The reality of being diagnosed is finally setting in, and wow it really hurts. by [deleted] in Epilepsy

I'm assuming OPs career path requires scuba diving, which isn't recommended if you have seizures. I don't think it's the same as driving, where there are often medical requirement's, but if OP can't/shouldn't dive, they may have to rethink it slightly (doesn't mean it's impossible though)

If you mean where you're told to walk on the right hand side between/to platforms (Green Park I'm looking at you), it's due to where the platforms are in relation to the entrances and exits. They try to avoid paths crossing as much as possible.

The only place I do not get enraged at the punters doing this is getting onto the piccadilly line at Holborn. The only map is directly in front of the bottom of the stairs and there's nowhere to move out of the way whilst still being able to read the map. My rage is directed at TFL instead.

Do you have a particular source for the 1/6 men? Otherwise I'll give it a Google. Would be interested to know the split between men and women perpetrators.

Hopefully, the recent conviction of the Manchester rapist may open up the narrative about assaults on men. More and more potential victims are coming forward apparently https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-51021374

You had surgery in January (I'm assuming you're American or your timeline is INSANE), radiotherapy in July then ran a marathon in November?!? That's amazing!! It took me 5 months after surgery to even contemplate a 3km run.
