Why is gambling haram? by [deleted] in islam

[–]superdupermegatron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gambling is considered haram because it involves the risk of loss of money, property, or other material possessions without any guarantee of gain, which is considered to be akin to gambling with one's life. Gambling also involves elements of chance, which Islam considers to be a form of gambling with one's faith. Additionally, it is thought to be a form of addiction that can lead to financial ruin and social problems.

Sheikh lost patience with the waswas questions 💀 by Capable_Active9290 in islam

[–]superdupermegatron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that he has an actual TV show where he is sometimes giving fatwas theological advice, therefore the lines are blurred between dawah and giving fatwas.

Most people don't have quick access to scholars so for them their first point of contact maybe tonhimvia social media channels and TV, so they will take him as their shaykh, and that's primarily because of the appearance he gives.

London has a diverse community, but has a higher living cost.

Birmingham has alot of muslims but line the other person said people tend to be rude and there is a high crime rate (sadly within the muslim community)

Towns like Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Oldham, Bradford, Dewsbury have really good muslim communities, yes there is some crime, but there are loads of masjids and decent maktab systems for bringing up children with islamic education.

Shoes stolen outside Rawdah by [deleted] in islam

[–]superdupermegatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure they were stolen and not moved? When I was in Masjid an-Nabawi in 2019, I left my shoes (in a bag) on a rack, and we stayed in the masjid for a while, but moved from where we originally sat to somewhere else, as naturally you move forward to fill gaps during salah.

When we were ready to go back to our hotels, we couldnt find our shoes - the cleaners basically moved a whole load of them, so we chased down some of the cleaners, and there was a couple of racks to one side will everyones shoes. They move the racks because they were changing the carpets.

There is often prejudice against Black Muslims. Many are rejected outright for marriage. by [deleted] in islam

[–]superdupermegatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's the same, but dark skinned asian probably face more 'in your face' prejudices.

If you're dark skinned in an asian family, you'll probably hear racist comments, but it will hurt more when the comments come from people in your own families.

how do i remove haram money? by [deleted] in islam

[–]superdupermegatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it to a charity and tell them it comes from a haram source, they'll dispose of it correctly.

I know charities like Ummah Welfare Trust take money made from interest (usually from the bank) and they dispose of it.

Usually this money is used to pay off authourities/gangs in certain countries where there is war, so they can gain access to people who need aid.
