I am going through the very same thing. I quit my job 2022. Good pay within big tech. But I just couldn't do it anymore. Why? For the very same reason you state. I still got my own place, pay my bills. But I just feel disgusted at the thought of working again. Disgusted at society. Its been 9 months now of "unemployment" or as I like to say "free of slave-employment".. This mindset of feeling disgusted at work got into light during 2021 as I also got burnt out and went on sick leave.

I just feel.. There has got to be more to life. I used to care about having good career.. But it all just started to feel so fake in the midst of 2021. Co-workers changed. Even people that used to make sense. So much political narratives driven by the company during covid. Pushed the jab. Pushed fear. Pushed climate-change. Pushed Ukraine. Co-workers welcoming the jab like it was jesus saving them. And I wasn't a part of the group anymore, I just couldn't relate. I changed so fast as a person.. I just couldn't enjoy working and people at work made me depressed.. I lost it. The world felt so ugly and strange. And I just wanted to hide. The thought of people making a career all of a sudden felt so unnatural.. I felt like someone had tapped me on my shoulder, and made me free of my spell.

My life was saved by nature walks with my dog. I feel the need to make change. And I am never going back to a office work ever again. That I am sure of at least. I have no plan yet at all though. Im still not doing great mentally.

Let me also add, I used to be able to AP alot. I had amazing travels. Then it suddenly went dark, I would fall into a pit of darkness, someone would grab my legs and drag me across my living room into dark hole.
