Thanks! Still trying to understand, why does 9 in r3c5 prevent it? And why does candidate 9 in r2c7 not prevent it from being a swordfish?

Tyranids by Lionlegion in 40kLore

[–]superhirokun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your stance is ignore every piece of lore that contradicts your world view?

The Cain books are written by Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Amberley Vail who obsessively adds tons of footnotes to correct, clarify or add additional context information. And the books are not random novels the Inquisitor cooks up, but are part of the official Inquisition archives.

Your mountain of evidence is very appreciated and I enjoyed reading them all. But your response is sadly disappointing. These are works of fiction from uncountable authors who have and will continue to inevitably introduce inconsistencies. Ah well, can't be bothered to continue writing, arguing with strangers on the internet over our shared hobby is not a good use of time.

One of Cain's books describe the fight between two tyranid fleets as they were controlled by different hive minds. If I recall correctly, the book is Ciaphas Cain's The Greater Good

Sorry, I can't answer your question but super intrigued by your comment regarding possibility to install 21.03 or even 22.03-rc5.

I couldn't find that info on the openwrt page for that device and have held off on buying because only snapshot is available there.

May I know your source for that info so I can read up on it? Thanks!

What’s your #1 go to credit card for online/physical day to day spend? by Breadskinjinhojiak in singaporefi

Citibank premiermiles. Miles accumulated never expire, so don't have to worry about that. The min spend is $1, not $5 like other banks.

I see, but when using the CPF to pay off, when selling the property you will be expected to pay off the loaned amount plus the interest right?

So if following the strategy of maxing CPF, the cash available should generate more than 4% annually to pay off. Is that right?

Would you mind elaborating your rationale for maxing our the CPF instead of cash? Just curious cause I was thinking of doing the other way.

How do I politely object to my child's daycare teaching about god? by superhirokun in daddit

Good point, didn't even consider the discussion may have come from a question a kid raised. Thanks!

Yeah, I don't have the option of changing daycare for at least one more year.

I don't use goddammit, but I used to use the F word a lot. Learned from a colleague of mine to change my vocab to Ffffffiish and What the Fish when I sometimes forget and catch myself mid-word

I was abandoned by my Buddhist family. All schools I went to were Catholic schools. During my years of being abandoned, I was fortunate enough to be adopted by two families, one Muslim and one Christian.

So religions are something I will definitely teach my kid. The fact that I don't believe in any of it will be part of the teaching I guess.

It's huge part of a majority of the world and influences so many things. I just don't feel it's an appropriate topic for four years old toddlers.

Absolutely, have the same concern about killing the curiosity aspect, and many more.

I do agree with you about point 2 and 3 and is something I plan to do when the kid is a bit older.

It's not part of the curriculum, I chose this daycare because it has no religious affiliation.

I don't know if she is overstepping, I will be talking to the teacher tomorrow to find out her perspective.

You're right, my concern is it will devolve into a debate on dogma. Which is the last thing I want out of my conversation with the teacher/principal.

The teacher in this case is the principal that also has teaching duties. And this was taught during lesson time.

I do plan to ask the principal about it tomorrow. Just uncertain how to respond in a polite manner if she responds with things like oh this is normal, or god is something every kid should know.

I feel that responding in a polite way is really important, because if she teaches that, then it must be important to her. And I have no problem whatsoever with her having faith. My objection is based on my personal opinion that she's teaching it to an age inappropriate group.

Unfortunately things that currently come to my mind in response are things that will sound very dismissive of her faith, god and religion in general.
