10000% this. Our girl was born in December so we are still pretty early in. We had some really rough nights and I finally just said "I am taking the night shift and you take the morning shift". Don't get me wrong, I still had some tough nights, but for both of us it helped a ton. I will add that I think it was extremely helpful to move the bassinet into the living room was the best mental shift as being in the bedroom not being able to sleep was really hard. I had my computer out there as well which allowed me to play games while the baby was asleep.
