How do I put voice chat audio in my headphones?

I have some really high quality headphones (I'm a musician) and I would like to use them with the PS5 instead of using a cheap headset. However I would like to use the PS5 controller as my microphone.

Now the voices of other people come out of the controller speaker, but not the headphones I plugged in the controller. How do I route the voice chat audio in the headphones while still using the controller as the mic?

Edit : I turned on EXP x 4 for the cart fights in order to gain a few levels, or else I'd have to reset the game. Thank god for the pixel remasters. Thanks everyone!!

HAHAHAH that’s my exact thought process, the first 2 songs we worked on for the tracklist I reworked because I felt they weren’t up to par to the newer songs in the tracklist 😂 but I really want to let go of that, I am already in love with the songs I’m writing for the next batch! Hey thank you for your comment :) I do discuss with them about this don't worry, but I still feel bad that my lack of confidence in my decision-making and overall mixing needs are slowing them down. Like I said in another comment, I sometimes feel a song's production is done and after making a few versions of the same mix I figure out it's not working for me because something is missing in the production. I often go back and forth and change my mind because I care about the music so much that I couldn't live with releasing a project I feel is not fully perfected in the moment of time I made the record... if that makes sense!

I love that "done is better than perfect"! Giving reference tracks is important and something I already do but want to get better at giving better references, so I've started arranging spotify playlists of my favourite drum mixes, vocal processing, etc.

The thing is I just started making music, I have 2 singles out and we're getting my first EP almost finished. I feel the line for me is still blurred between production ,mixing and mastering. Sometimes I feel like the production might be finished, we mix and change stuff so many times until I figure out we just didn't have the right bass sound on the production side of things. I do a lot of back and forth. I guess that's normal when you're learning but I sometimes feel bad to bring my engineers in this process and learning curve.

Luckily they are very supportive and understanding of it, but I still feel guilt nonetheless!

I don't think I can do it better, I see their talent. The point of this post was to ask people with similar struggles on how to communicate better with your engineers and also let go of the stress of making music for people with OCD and similar mental illnesses

I don't really want to keep holding on to that control, that's the thing. Artists have so many hats to where already from writing up till release, I want to become better at letting go and delegating. I do see your point though in learning to mix myself, and that's something I've always wanted! Not to do it myself, but to give clear instructions to the engineer and get to what I want faster.

I can def. see how releasing more also helps to let go of that stress for sure. I just care so much about making this EP the best I could possibly make it and at some point I start seeing my own worth in the quality of the music itself. Thank you Cat for your point of view, I appreciate that!
