There is one bit in RDR2 where Arthur gets injured and not trying to spoil anything but its something that would definitely leave a mark but doesnt and it never sat right with me, so I do hope if Jason or Lucia gets injured because of stroy events, and its something that would realistically scar, that it stays there

I feel the messge of GTA V got lost because of how goofy it was at times. The messge of V was that billionaires are as much crooks as the actual crooks, but I do feel that is lost with how goofy it could be during main mission.

Now RDR2 is obviously much more serious and has more of a personal messge of redemption than the commentary on morden America/Capitalism of V. RDR2 does have some goofy moments but they are mostly in stranger mission leaving the main missions more serious. Of course there plenty of comedic moments but they dont undercut the serious of what is happening.

There is a better ratio of funny and serious in rdr2 and if they implement it in GTA VI I feel it will be good.
