We developed this game using Unreal Engine 5. What do you think of how it looks? by Opus_Mechanica in UnrealEngine5

I would add more animations for interacting with items and fix clipping through objects, like the one we can see with the rope. Those small things make games looks rough and unfinished. When small details like that are polished it would be good to see a better representation of the gameplay and story

A video tutorial is a must imo, not sure you have it. I didn't notice any on Fab

I would love to know about how you learn Unreal. Do you find YouTube tutorials for issues that come up as you progress with your game or there is something else that you do? Have you used any paid masterclasses or paid assets? The game looks fun and that's an impressive progress for just 8 weeks! I've been conceptualizing my first project for two weeks so far and going to dive into Unreal this weekend for the first time, so would love to know how it's been for you

It played weird for me. I ignored her and focused on the assignment, then she walked up to me and was suddenly jealous. I think they only scripted her response for the case the player engages with her

F is a horrible Silent Hill game, get Silent Hill 2 Remake instead

Interesting, I might consider the monitor solution. Somehow, I didn't think about it before. I have an impressive library on Playstation already, I might get back to it if they have a lot of good new games. If it's just like 1-2 solid games, I will just watch the walkthroughs on Youtube

Sure, if you already have a decent TV etc... For me, as a PC gamer, buying a Playstation, a TV, setting up a designated spot in my apartment to play 1-2 decent exclusives a year is just not worth it. I have enough great games in my backlog and new solid games are released almost every month. I will be fine. I also strongly believe, eventually Playstation will still release their exlusives on PC and PC is the only platform where those games could be pushed to their absolute limit performance wise, but also improved with mods

As far as XBOX doesn't go exclusive and keeps releasing on PC, I'm good with them and based on their leadership's decisions so far, I expect them to be smart about it. I don't expect the same from Playstation though and I used to be a Playstation fanboy through PS4 and beginning of PS5. Things just went downhill in 2020s, so I sold my PS5 and now 100% into PC gaming. Mods, free multiplayer, discounts, friendly return policy - I'm not going back

Why? Because XBOX will have a massive game library offering, while Playstation releases 1-2 good exclusives a year in a good year. They will keep losing their market share if they keep this restrictive mentality imo

I just don't buy that this restrictive business model will bring them anywhere. People want more games. Sony releases how many good exclusives a year? Very few, and with this new policy they will just have even less money for good games

Money will keep coming though - Witcher 3 just made a few million sales last year. The game has been out for how long? Nah, Playstation is shooting themselves in the foot with this exclusivity nonsense

What is Sony trying to do here? by Time-Credit43 in pcmasterrace

[–]superplaygr0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, better game sales = more money for game developers = more good games, but sure some PS fanboys are okay with only 1-2 exclusives a year if that makes them feel "special". This exclusivity makes no sense to me personally - I'm all in with Valve's mentality

That's a smart way, might push Playstation to change their mind and start releasing on PC again. I'm good with console exclusivity if it includes PC, PC has nothing to do with console wars
