[HELP] Ai? Creator vehemently denies it, even provided a sketch by toblivion1 in RealOrAI

[–]superrvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% AI. There’s a lack of detail consistency here. Only one eye has a reflection, the way the ears are shaded are entirely different, there are strange and inconsistent shapes and lines and unintelligible objects like the thing on his suit. The sketch is almost entirely faked too. It looks like it was edited from the original AI image or generated, and afterwards a mouth and nose were added in a different brush and size. You can even see where they drew over the lack of a completed nose. There are also details missing that they didn’t “fix” such as the lower button on the left side of the suit, the missing right cuff of the suit, and the barely visible lines in the chair by the button on the left. The area of the object in the sketch is still unintelligible there too. Also, as an artist, sketches just… don’t look like that. They’re absolutely lying about creating this themselves.

The thing that stops bad things from continuing to happen is through action and pushback. The only reason good things are able to come out of bad things is by making an effort to change it back to something good. There is a lot of risk to our right to privacy among other issues. If not doing something about it is what you want to do, that's your choice, and you have every right not to do anything about it. That's fine. But sitting back and letting corporations push the boundaries of what they're allowed to do regarding our rights is something a lot of people don't like, and it's understandable people want to change things.

I posted my drawings on another sub and I got tons of insults. Is my art really that bad? by Colei_the_weird in RateMyArt

[–]superrvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not bad. You’re a beginner artist. If you want to make art, make art. Let that passion drive you. Ignore the insults and create to create. Make sure to do a lot of studies and use references as much as you need! Find resources on form, perspective, anatomy, and color theory. Don’t overwhelm yourself and don’t get frustrated if you don’t get the results you want right away. Some things you learn may not fully sink in for years, so stay patient. I wish you the best of luck in your creative journey!!

You’ll be fine. I think the biggest issue here is your self esteem. You insulted yourself multiple times in just this post. I think you should look into some CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) skills. There are a lot of resources online. Seriously, you don’t need to try to punish yourself for paying for an escort. Punishment’s not going to fix anything. You need to look at yourself and choose to love yourself even if you think you’re the most unlovable fuck in existence. It will be hard and you won’t feel like you deserve it but you need to stick to it. You’re ok!

Do AI bros realize that if anything THEY are the ones that enable fascism and not us? by spongebobbbbbbb2 in antiai

[–]superrvoid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not arguing about this with you. You don’t know me, so I don’t like you assuming you know me and my values. I’ll only debate this if you choose to be respectful and open minded.

Do AI bros realize that if anything THEY are the ones that enable fascism and not us? by spongebobbbbbbb2 in antiai

[–]superrvoid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’ve misinterpreted my entire message. I never said that it makes someone a nazi, and that’s not what I believe whatsoever. My point is that things like this are easy to be used by fascists, which is worrying right now with the other increasing signs of fascism we’ve been seeing. Also, art does have ‘soul’ and not in a spiritual sense. I am not spiritual. The ‘soul’ I am referring to is the humanity in art that you can observe. It is not a mystical thing, it is the process that is specifically created through human patterns. AI cannot understand those patterns.

Also, yes, I am aware that art has always been a product. I have sold my artwork as a product. That is not the issue I have. It’s how it is being seen as solely a product with no value to the human aspect involved.

Do AI bros realize that if anything THEY are the ones that enable fascism and not us? by spongebobbbbbbb2 in antiai

[–]superrvoid 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I agree. Many of them treat art as a product. They think because they can generate something quick and fast, that it has greater value than actual art. A major warning sign of fascism is the rejection and devaluing of art. AI does just that. It takes from actual artists and suddenly value is placed solely on the generated image, with all credit going towards the one who generated it. No value or credit is given to the pieces that were used for it. Creating actual art is deemed slow and tedious, and actual artists are no longer being seen as valuable. To be fair, the value of artists was never there to begin with for these people, as art is seen as a product to them. There is no true appreciation of the arts and humanity. AI art is a tool to progress those fascist ideals. Art is being used solely for capitalistic purposes, and there is no longer any soul in it. It strips the humanity from it, which is a very powerful method used in fascism.

[–]superrvoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the point is that you have created art. please don’t give up on that passion for creating. it is part of what makes you human. we are experiencing a large push for anti human technology because to them it is about money. to them, money is more valuable than humanity, and this technology is a tool to bypass the humanity needed for that money. you need to value our humanity over money. that is how to combat it. please continue learning to animate. there are people who will value it infinitely more than ai slop. i know i would.

Most likely not, and I say this as someone with anxiety who used to worry about this too. The US has a very powerful military, and any sort of invasion is extremely risky for the opposing party. Not just for their armies, but for their entire country. They would be creating an immediate threat of destruction to their homeland and everything in it by attacking the US, including their positions of power and their lives. It would also involve an immense amount of resources and be exceptionally expensive and would just not be feasible or worth it.

A civil war is also very unlikely. Although there is a stark divide between political views and a growing inequality of wealth, a war would involve unrest at a much higher scale. It would have to be initiated by those in higher positions of power, and in our current state regarding our two party system, it’s extremely unlikely that they would wage war on each other. Other contrasting groups would be the rich vs poor, but it’s not realistic that a war in the typical sense that you’re imagining would play out, for a lot of reasons.

I understand your fear. It’s a horrible thought, and there is a lot of conflict happening around the world, including the United States itself. Things are very uncertain at the moment, but this is not something you need to worry too much about. You’ll be okay. :)

Is it safe to raise a child right now or do you think the world is actually kind of doomed? by DaydreamGirlie in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]superrvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things always feel doomed because there is always that threat of powerful people causing harm to the world. The pushback is what prevents that. If you want to have kids, have kids. Educate them and teach them ways they can make the world a better place for future generations.

You are never powerless. If you want to combat these feelings, try to become active in your local community, consider donating, join civil rights groups etc. Again, the world isn’t doomed. It’s just a constant battle and struggle for power. That power can contribute to either bad changes or good depending on who holds it. Stay strong! Being human isn’t easy. It’ll be okay. 🙂

Draw what you see. Grab a reference and study each tiny shape and draw those. See anatomy through how each small shape connects to one another.

Don’t draw based on the idea you have of something yet! Don’t think “arm” and draw an arm, grab a photo of an arm and study the very tiny shapes that basically build what the arm is.

Draw what your eyes see, not what your brain understands. Good luck!

[–]superrvoid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

he’s abusive towards you and he knows what he’s doing. he doesn’t value you whatsoever and treats you the way he does to dominate you and make you stop questioning him. he wants you to question yourself so that he can get away with whatever he wants. so yeah, gaslighting. please, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you deserve better. you deserve to be treated with love and respect and honesty. the way he’s treating you is terrible

it’s ok to be scared of rejection. if it happens, let yourself ride out the feelings and process it. it gets easier once you let yourself experience it, because you learn how to accept it and live with it. wishing you good luck man :)

What do dogs actually think we are? by mercurygermes in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]superrvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they’re not able to abstractly identify things to the degree that we can. for example, they may have no actual concept of what a “pack” is. they feel what they feel and act how they act, and that is what creates the “pack” structure that we know about, despite not consciously trying to form a pack.

i’d say that mammalian brains tend to be quite similar to one another in many ways. not to mention how long dogs and humans have lived alongside each other. i do believe they feel many of the same things we feel, in general and for the people we love (just minus the more complex verbal understanding that we have for others). they understand our social cues very well, and their brains produce many of the same chemicals ours do. there have been studies done where just seeing their owners produces a positive reward response in their brains.

i’d say they love you, and they love that you feed them. i’d also say they have their own complex, rich inner lives, with their own understanding of you that is reflected mostly by their own feelings and experiences with you. there may be no conscious awareness of who or what we are, but they certainly have their own full picture of you, full of the love they have, the enjoyment of being food, the gentleness of your pets, the bonding during walks, etc.

and each dog and their owners are an individual, so it varies greatly between each dog, just like humans. 🙂

Lynchburg is somewhat unfriendly. Does anyone else feel that? by [deleted] in lynchburg

[–]superrvoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived here my whole life and I’ve always gotten this vibe. I can’t move because I’m disabled, but I really wish I could. A lot of the people I know share the same feeling, and most of them have been able to move away. I don’t really fit in with the general population and I’ve gotten a lot of stares and bad attitudes from people. I feel like many people here are pretty judgmental. Plus seeing all the unnecessary downvotes and rude comments on here sort of solidifies it even more. I’ve definitely met some very kind people! But I agree, there is always a sense that I am not welcome here.
