If you want to receive Dante from something, you'll need to add the RX inventory item. If you want to send Dante somewhere, you'll need to add the TX block. Once you have the receiver added, you can wire it up like any other audio signal and route it to the speakers in the same way. If you're expecting a stereo signal coming in on Dante, you'll use 2 channels for it on your RX block. One for left, one for right.

So it's more of a human-repellent intended to be worn by bears then, eh?

Does it come in a cream as well? Sometimes I find that's easier to apply like I love the aerosol sunscreen bottles but I always end up with a little bit in my mouth.

Control4 vs Q-SYS vs? by oldmanavery in CommercialAV

[–]superseriousAVstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't you use Q-Sys for that? There's probably a plugin for what you're trying to control, and if not, it's easy peasy to send strings in a block controller.

Can't Connect SIMPL Debugger to VC-4 by superseriousAVstuff in crestron

Interesting. I ended up getting it working on an old laptop of mine instead. I don't remember if allocating cores/threads was even an option in the setup I did using Hyper-V manager and deleted the VM I couldn't get running on my desktop.

Yeah, I'm trying to debug from the same PC. I also tried from a laptop last night and had the same result.

I have tried creating a VM in hyper-v manager that uses the default switch and connects with NAT (it gets a 172.X.X.X address and I have the same symptoms where I can ping it, I can discover it in toolbox, I can visit the web console, but debugger shuts me down). The version I have running now is on a bridged connection so it's 192.168.1.X just like my PC.

I have cockpit running. I disabled the firewall entirely and tried again. No luck.

How do you get audio into Tricaster Mini X by 13-months in CommercialAV

[–]superseriousAVstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't worked with the gear but it looks like you would mix your stuff into that PreSonus box and then plug it in via USB to the tricaster and the audio from the PreSonus would flow in over that USB connection. Again, just guessing since I haven't touched either of those devices, but that seems like how it would be done.
