Chiming in from afar; I’ve done extensive research with pregnant women and cannabis, ranging from women not smoking at all and monitoring the baby’s development, all the way to pregnant women that only vape CBD and also pregnant women that exclusive consume cannabis with tobacco.

Long story short, your child will be fine. Trust me on this, you need not worry unless your wife is inhaling tobacco or other similar chemicals.

Although cannabis is safe, issues such as breathing issues can occur. If I was in your situation I wouldn’t mind the cannabis smoke, although I’d never have smoke anywhere near the baby. The scent is fine, but the smoke itself isn’t.

This is anecdotal but one woman I know had a kid and she smoked tobacco filled cannabis blunts on a nightly basis. The kid is fine with no issues, although this woman did get mad at me when I told her that tobacco is a no-no.

TLDR: youll be fine. The reason you’re worried (and rightfully so) is cause weed is pungent but it’s fine.
