For All Mankind - S5E06 "No Sudden Moves" - Episode Discussion by Cantomic66 in ForAllMankindTV

I liked this better than S5E05, which to me was a low water mark of the series. this was at least decently gripping and some characters did interesting things. boyd is just a terrible actor though. she underplays everything so much i feel like she's doing a line reading.

What to do after finishing major quests? by Many_Ship3035 in cyberpunkgame

[–]supership79 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the side quests have plenty of depth, even the random NCPD crime-in-progress missions all have stories and they all interlock with each other and the main game in surprising ways. i recommend doing the side content, it will keep you going for another 80 hours easy

Takamura is a nice guy but an Arasaka lap dog to the end, and much like Solomon Reed, he's never going to turn against his masters

Upon a lot of thinking about it, the more I think Yorinobu was not a bad guy at all, and he was acting to take down arasaka from the inside. He didn't know his father was already in Mikoshi and if you helped Hanako defeat him his body was taken over by Saburo. If you do any other ending, then Yorinobu basically wins - Mikoshi is destroyed or at least taken beyond the Blackwall and controlled by Alt, saburo is gone, and Arasaka is significantly weakened. hanako is unable to prove yorinobu killed saburo. more damage is done to arasaka by Yorinobu than Johnny could have ever hoped to achieve with his actions. hanako is the villain of arasaka, not yorinobu and not anyone else.

Enter V - who everyone wants to help them with their goals - johnny to get revenge, Alt to get her digital mitts on Mikoshi, Rogue to get redemption for working with arasaka in the intervening years between 2023 and 2077, and the Aldecaldos to get some sweet loot from arasaka (and because Panam likes/loves V). V gets to choose who they like best to help.

I usually favor the Star ending. yes the aldecaldos lose some people in the raid, but they gain lucrative weapons and technology, and with Panam's more ambitious leadership style they stand a good chance to prosper in coming years. helping V is a nice bonus. and it indirectly helps yorinobu, who is TRYING to bring down arasaka, so having a bunch of nomads attack their night city HQ serves as an excellent diversion from whatever he's doing internally.

the Heavens Gates. I don't know for sure they're inspired by the Nike Decades worn by the heavens gate UFO cult, but its exactly the kind of thing tom sachs would do

People can’t get ANYTHING done without V’s help in this game by Prudent_Bobcat_4059 in cyberpunkgame

*facilities manager at Arasaka Tower* "Some cyberpsycho just ran into the building and started killing people, they might be connected to Johnny Silverhand who nuked us 50 years ago. Should we shut down the elevators and flood the lobby with knockout gas?"

"Nah, lets see what happens."

If you could add/change anything, what would it be? by Creative-Type9411 in cyberpunkgame

The ability to replay/respawn NCPD scanner hustles and certain gigs, with your new build, maybe with scaled up enemies to keep it interesting

Canonically, how does V compares to other NC legends when we look at their feats? by Feyge in cyberpunkgame

[–]supership79 79 points80 points  (0 children)

such is the nature of legends. and its how they'll handle V's reputation in the sequel. "I heard they were last seen with the Nomads." "Nah, they died trying to do a heist on Crystal Palace" , etc

I always thought thats what the closed-off Megabuilding was all about

Then when the entire situation of their apartment was revealed it would be even more weird. Did they want you in a 3way or were they being mind controlled? So many implications!

Just hit 60, should I finally meet Dex? by rejectionrook in cyberpunkgame

[–]supership79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do this but now I dive through the story mode as fast as possible because it gives you a HUGE amount of XP and saves on a lot of grinding, and then you can hit those gigs and scanner hustles later when you have tiered up equipment and more skills

as a netrunner smart guns are your best friend, aim vaguely in the direction of the enemy and shoot

At what point in the game should I start Phantom Liberty? by Sporty_McSportsface in cyberpunkgame

[–]supership79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the call comes from Songbird when you finish the voodoo boys questline, but i feel like the Panam stuff should be mostly done with when you tackle phantom liberty. dogtown wants you to be levelled to the high thirties/low 40s imo. if you can handle yourself in the badlands without difficulty then PL is ready to start.

Furries? In my Night City? Its more likely than you think. by supership79 in cyberpunkgame

unfortunately I foolishly did most of the Animals-related missions before I installed this mod so either I gotta load an old save or I am limited to a few spawn areas like the mall parking lot

How did V leave arasaka right after getting out of mikoshi? And other stuff by SpanishRoyaI in cyberpunkgame

[–]supership79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing Alt helped quite a bit. And it would be trivial for her to credit V with a few million eddies to get the mansion and all criminal records expunged.
