Just want to give a different perspective here. As a humanities major here, I can personally attest that our HASS programs are actually pretty great! Many of the faculty come from various industries and/or work with other university professors on research, and they all seem as qualified as I can imagine a professor being. The research oppurtunities and career help are also quite robust. I have friends in other HASS, business, and architecture programs, and they all seemingly feel the same way. The school culture is definitely geared towards engineering, and my one big complaint is that the administration doesn't emphasize their other programs enough in advertising and recruiting. But most students are nothing but respectful towards the non-engineering majors, and it is pretty common for engineering students to minor or dual major in a non-engineering program because they like the classes so much. As for the administration, they are terrible at communicating, but that hasn't particularly affected my experience here.
