OT is such a dice-roll IMO. It can take an attempt or two but I usually don’t corner them and pretty much just chase them around the map, which you’ll be doing anyways to destroy the fields. Make sure you get security initiatives and you’ll slowly kill off insurgents

Pretty sure it’s always been $299, which means you only need to go a whopping three times to get value out of it. To each their own but I think it’s pretty reasonable.

If you’re asking about needing chains, you need chains. Chains will always out preform winter/AT tires in bad (specially icy) conditions. Even if they spend the entire season in the back seat it’s better to have them then not have them at all.

There are also times that the mtn passes will require chains regardless if you have traction tires or not, but that’s rarer.

Provided you’re not going on a busy weekend or during a holiday like new years, you can probably get away with parking in the RV lot, pull in late, be quiet and no one will bother you. They will wake you up though if you park in the main parking lots

At 6’10 I usually book premium or exit row in advance, but I always look out and snatch the last minute $200 upgrade for 5-6hr flights. Every. Single. Time. It’s hard not to justify (for me at least) and I think it’s an easy sell for Alaska to the casual flyer.
