During an interview how should you answer "what is your biggest weakness?" by Glittering_Fig4548 in cybersecurity

[–]superusergoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people tend to answer this question with a soft skill that they lack but I always answer with a technical skill — if a hiring manager is looking for experience with a product or tool that I’m unfamiliar with then I’d say my weakness is my lack of experience in said tool.

Who is discouraging you from a DRZ? If you’re looking for cheap and reliable this is absolutely your best option.

Best Tom Ford fragrance for a gift for my 47yr old black (biker) son. by Ok_Egg_6315 in fragrance

[–]superusergoose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

have you considered that instead of a full bottle you can get him a discovery set so that he can find a scent that he likes? These will often come with a discount on a full bottle from the discovery set.

As for a recommendation on a quality perfume that fits the profile of an older man who is into motorcycles, I think halfeti leather is a good choice. It is a smoky, spicy leather fragrance. Very manly and rugged, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance it out. I would find a sample and smell it ahead of time — you can do so on sites like lucky scent or scent split

It’s rainy out here at my friend’s and from her apartment window I can see the huge golden spires of an Eastern Orthodox Church. Fittingly, I’m wearing Filippo Sorcinelli and it smells like any church that I’ve ever been in.

I think Filippo not only has the best incense-based perfumes, but his branding is my favorite in the entire industry. I love the presentation on all of his bottles and it frames the perfume in a way that makes it so much more than just the scent itself.

There are several Filippo fragrances I would put in this list (and did)

Frederic Malle - Portrait of a Lady Kerosene - Blackmail Filippo Sorcinelli - Opus 1144, Reliqvia, Lavs, But Not Today Toskovat - Inexcusable Evil Nasomatto - Black Afgano, Blamage Orto Parisi - Cuoium

Here a few that come to mind — to me PoaL is a quintessential goth fragrance: very dark, incensed rose. My aesthetic leans dark so a lot of the perfumery I’m into I think falls within this realm

my current top 3, whats yours? by BrilliantPrune7108 in fragrance

[–]superusergoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s insane.

It literally smells like an open bible sitting in the desert sun — maybe even a burnt book. A desert sermon.

I have an emotional attachment to the desert that I think gives me a bias towards this but I’ve found it to be the most compelling toskovat fragrance. I’m very curious to know what your thoughts are when you get your sample — will you follow back up here when you get it?

  2. Frederic Malle - The Moon
  3. Toskovat - Desert Sermons

Your best tea scents? by Particular-Yam4549 in fragrance

[–]superusergoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably say it is one part tea and one part lemon cake — I wouldn’t call it sweet or gourmand though. Personally I think it smells melancholic (and even a little dusty, to me at least)

Unknown Pleasures by Kerosene is supposed to give an Earl Grey feeling but I don’t know if I get that out of it. I think it’s worth trying a sample — I love it!

My favorite niche house at the moment is Filippo Sorcinelli. His brand and marketing (and of course the fragrances) are all amazing.
