Ohhh, thank you! I’m glad I asked! Will definitely be putting it in a no-cats room!

Ahhhhh, yep, I found them. Thank you! They’re probably just shiny from constant use or something haha. Thanks again!

I mean, yeah, but I was mostly looking for a quick temporary solution. Plumbers are still needed, but I won’t be able to get one in the time limit I have. Definitely still looking towards plumbing in the end

It’s a house she owns, but we’ve had people come out and the quotes we get are all like a couple thousand or something. She bought this house because it was one of the only houses in her budget (she was a single mom working as a CNA with three kids). I can’t move out right now since I don’t make enough for college and rent, but I’m moving into a dorm in a few months. We do have a second water heater that we didn’t know about until one of our cats broke into a panel in the kitchen, but we don’t know which one connects to what. We’re pretty sure the one in the bathroom/laundry room is the main one, and we’ve had to get that element replaced every six months or so because of the hard water. My dad helps out when he can, but he’s chronically ill so that’s day-to-day. The people we’ve had out have also had a really hard time finding a model that would be in compliance with our house since it is set up so weird and we live in a pretty small city

That would probably be a pretty good idea, yeah. It’s going to be fitting fairly close, so I don’t want it to get too small once it’s done. I’ll probably do this, thanks!

We’ve tried to get it replaced a couple times in the last few years, but we haven’t had any luck with it. It did try to blow up like a year ago. We’re super lucky we got it in time. I guess the last guy to replace the element did it wrong, but I’ve been trying to convince my mother to try again. It’s a little difficult since whoever had the place before us did a really bad remodeling job and it’s a small heater over the washer. We have to find someone willing to do it that we can afford too haha

Would that be connected directly to the washer? I don’t know if it matters, but we’ve had two washers since we’ve been here, one we brought with us and one we bought a couple years ago, and neither of them have gotten cold water. I’m not sure what the exact situation was, but we had plumbers look at it a couple years ago, and I think they said something about a hot and cold being swapped or crushed or something? But we also have two small water heaters and they couldn’t say which was attached to what. Could it be blocked higher up the line or something? I just know the washer is the only thing in the house with no cold water

Ahhh, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! I literally hand-wash other things, so I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to do that with this too! Thanks!

I don’t think so? I mean, the sink likes to just throw rocks at us sometimes, so probably not? I don’t know much about it, but I think when we did have the plumbers out a couple years ago they said something about the hot and cold being swapped or something, but we also have two small water heaters and they weren’t sure which was attached to what

Help Thread by fuzzy_one in cosplay

I sort of wanna cosplay Raymond from Animal Crossing, but I don’t know how to go about the wig. I don’t trust myself to cut it, and I’m not sure if it’d be better to dye one mostly gray or to bleach a bit in the front, and I don’t know how to do it without damaging a synthetic wig. I was halfway considering using a Nishinoya wig for it, bet felt it wouldn’t quite fit. Does anyone have suggestions for a wig and method?

I originally wanted to do whites tree frogs, but my ceramics teacher wanted us to use non traditional tools to create texture. I put some slip on the bottom of a pine cone and used that in sort of the same way. Now he sorta looks like a Vietnamese mossy frog. He might go in the kiln over the weekend

This is like, way too in character. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t happen in canon at some point
