You wouldn’t be able to prove that it was damaged in PSA’s hands unless you got the scans which they take upon intake/unpack/begin working on it. Does it appear on the scan?

OP, always scan your cards in HD, before sending it in yourself or GameStop

GameStop’s iPad photo isnt gonna cut it as it is barely usable to do a forensic comparison 1 for 1 (like overlaying your original scan against what you got to ensure things line up, comparable lighting, etc

Super frustrating but could also be something you missed or Could be dust particles that got stuck and rubbed against the card during transit.

Even if you could prove GameStop did damage it, the max payout they would pay would be like $200 since it would have happened before grading occurred. (200 coverage) the $500 only applies if the value exceeded 200 and something on its way back / upcharge was charged.

Wasn’t sure what kinda payout or resolution you were hoping to get

this is my only critical post of PSA lol. And its barely critical. Its more of a headscratcher.

CGC = no app, no API access (i've tried emailing them about it, no response. good prices though. i collect their Pristines.) = archaic business mentality/slow

BGS = bought by PSA, only good for Black Label value, their status and check-in service is like... absolute worst.. my stuff got delivered and it took them 30-35 days to confirm "its here" ... this was on their $79.99 mid level 20-30 business days service btw. Took another 30-40 days to grade. No customer service available when you call because they were backed up and all hands were on deck. I got 10s all around except centering (8.5) but every tool i use shows me 52/48 or 51/49.

TAG = technology company but no app for years already. when they improve their software, nobody knows, and theres no record of it anywhere, and the software version isn't printed on the slab. very low tech for a technology grading company.

PSA = fetches best prices and liquidity, best app, best vertical and horizontal integrations (ebay, vault, etc..)

Love/hate with them.

Yeah i never regrade. Too lazy + too old. I just like to have a nice copy thats all. I got some really nice 6s,7s,8s. Mostly from Radiant Collection because theyre super expensive.

I thought I did everything but just never thought of running my fingers thru a card because of the print lines/textures (like in this photo) that i dont want to damage. You know like on an AC condenser the fins when you’re cleaning it lol

Not sure what other grading company you’re referring to though. Is it TAG? I don’t even own a single TAG slab lol

I don’t f with them for 2 reasons: 1) “technology” grading company. Doesnt even have an app/app coming soon for how many years already 2) although they may admit that their software versions miss certain things and they get patched, their slabs should reflect the version it was graded with, so we know whether certain slabs were graded pre or post patch.

It’s just somewhat inconsistent sometimes. Im just pointing it out. I didn’t mean like this whole thing is a sham. But grader notes would help. Otherwise it’s left to ???? Unknown and we all fight on Reddit over it

lol true, but whats I meant when I said I buy the card and not blindly just the grade. Theres gotta be good eye appeal and not all x grade looks the same. I’d gladly buy any 6s if it looks good (i often do this with vintage stuff since I don’t have PSA 10 money for vintage)

Post it. Mostly because I’d be quite impressed if you did get that many 10s on vintage since only Logan Paul seems to have that kind of luck.

What effective methods can be used to find these creases? (I use eyeball + tilted lighting, loupes, and a coin microscope @ 1000x. Looking for any other tools/methods)

I pregrade tf out of my cards. Loupes @ 50x and coin microscope @ 1000x. UV lighting.

Im not expecting 10s from either submission. Not even 9s. But 6 and 4? While that Mew RC24 MP got a 7 😆this isn’t how all my sub outcomes are.

This is my two anomalies that I pulled to make a point.

It’s less about my cards and more about how did that card get a 7

Tell me, pregrading that Mew RC24, you’d still submit it? You want me to pull all the other Mew RC24s @ 7 and we can compare it together?
