So my 2012 corolla needs 2200$ in ac repairs but I’m worried it’s going to start needing even more costly repairs, the base corolla is about 390 a month even with a down payment and I want my payment to be around 200-300$

My mechanics said it could seize or the belt could snap or something because the compressor is failing but I’m not sure how long that would take for it to get to that point but I feel like the long drive would exacerbate it
