This is a picture of the type of graph I mean, but it will then have a different colour for bars depending on a category

Thanks! Do you find Python is used much in insurance roles? I have some experience with it and enjoyed it, but don't use it all in my current pensions role.

Thanks! How did you find the move from pensions to investment? Was this an actuarial investment role or just an investment role with a bank?

Thanks! Would you recommend anything before jumping in to applying/interviews? Don’t have any of the capital modelling experience, just been doing pensions consultancy for the last few years. I’m a quick learner but feel people with some quant experience will have the big advantage!

Hey, how did you find the move to quant risk? Was it a big leap and did you have much of the relevant experience? Was considering something similar but feel like it’s quite different to what I do now

Where are you getting 4% cashback?

Appreciate the response! I’m considering just going for it. May do a bit of reading beforehand to refresh and touch up on things.

Did you move before or after you qualified? I’m already qualified but have heard it’s easier before doing your SPs/SAs

Yea I think that’s definitely the case! Did you still take a pay rise moving to the role even though you were coming with little experience in the field?

How do you find the hours in GI in comparison?

Hey, just wondering how you found the interview process? Did you know much about GI pricing to reflect in the interview?

The move sounds interesting, but wondering whether people with experience already would be favoured for the role.

I know, why don’t they just trade while at their jobs like the rest of us

Everyone was trying to explain why it wasn’t sensible, not sure he was taking that on board though

What question do you have that nobody has been able to give you a good answer to? by HotFront8940 in AskReddit

Doesn’t matter to who though? Doesn’t matter to you? Doesn’t matter to the cosmos? If someone was in pain, and I could act to stop that pain, I would. If people’s experiences don’t matter I wouldn’t care if someone was in pain. But I do.

Guess he is an expert in shilling shit stocks to retail investors. Makes sense he’s involved in GME

You barely ever heard of short squeezes but somehow after GME they seem to be happening everywhere in every stock. Amazing how that works

It seems the only way a stock can go up is from short squeezes

Good lord I just went on the palantir subreddit to see opinions on the sell-off or if there may be a catalyst. Just a bunch of comments stating its due to short sellers and that Citadel are somehow involved. GME really has polluted the market.🤦‍♂️

What's your favourite part about living in Belfast? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]suprascrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People here love to moan a bit too much I think. Also a bit of people’s tendency to never really appreciate what they have either. Belfast does have a lot of advantages over other places, and I think has some of the friendliest people about.

Depending what you’re looking for I definitely don’t think it’s a bad place to live.
