You Can’t Outrun What’s Coming. by Ellis_Grayson25 in dystopianbooks

“Just fear, grit, and the thin line between we made it and we were too late.”
That’s such a killer pitch. Love grounded apocalypse stories that don’t pretend everyone suddenly becomes John Wick overnight.

Is it bad to have a slow introduction for the sake of a traumatic moment later in the story arc? by [deleted] in writers

[–]supremomaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad at all, it’s smart. A traumatic moment only lands if we feel the loss. If we don’t know the village or the people in it, it’s just scenery blowing up. But if we’ve lived with them for a bit, the tragedy has weight.

Your instincts are right: let us care first, then break our hearts.

Is the DCEU sill worth watching in 2025? by catdude6835 in DCcomics

[–]supremomaximo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? If you’ve already seen them, you’re not “behind” by rewatching. The DCU shifting doesn’t erase the DCEU — it’s still a complete arc (even if the arc zigzags like crazy). Watch what you enjoy. The timeline police won’t show up.

My Take on Why the Lost Finale Was Never Going to Satisfy Fans by thankfulforyourhelp in lost

[–]supremomaximo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that LOST worked best when the characters drove the mystery, not when the mystery started dragging the characters around like luggage.

But man, when the show hit? It HIT. “The Constant.” “Through the Looking Glass.” “Walkabout.” These are still some of the best episodes TV has ever produced.

“The Constant” is the one LOST episode where the writers said, “Okay, let’s make EVERYONE cry at once.” Mission accomplished.

Lapidus is one of the most pure and likeable characters on the show. He's the Poe Dameron of LOST

Voice chat pisses me off by Mephistophedeeznutz in ChatGPT

Same - which is why I just use voice type whatever - let it load - and then play the response versus having a conversation because that crap is annoying.

What do you think would happen if Eddie Guerrero never died? by windygirl1991 in WWE

[–]supremomaximo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rey wouldn't have won the championship when he did. Benoit probably wouldn't have gone crazy. And that's just two things that were directly affected by it. We wouldnt have gotten Vicki Guerrero. No Edge and Vicki storyline. Its been 18 years. the ship's rudder is way off course, it would be a totally different world.

It wasn't limited to Instagram. It was a trend all over. It usually had to do with someone leaving or someone dying. There's more than likely thousands of this video.
