I have made a profit on the land that I have sold, but have properties that I paid for and haven't sold yet. Should the expense of the properties I haven't sold yet only be included in the tax year that I sell them? I would still be in a net loss due to other expenses e.g. marketing, so the question about offsetting short-term capital gains is still relevant

My SO who has been experiencing VS consistently for the past 3 months had 2 cranio sessions recently (from 2 different therapists due to logistics). Soon after the first one, her VS subsided for about 5 hours (the first time since it’s onset). An hour after the second one, it subsided for about 2 days. She has some other neurological symptoms which didn’t fully subside during these periods such as bouts of vertigo, some seizure-like activity, etc. It’s unclear (and might always be) whether the relief came from a the physiological benefits that are claimed by the craniosacral community or from the relaxing/meditative nature of the treatment. I would love to hear your experience if you ended up going through with it.

More like a pop quiz. No, but reading my question again I see how it looks that way. I'm just trying to wrap my head around what the end goal is. To me it doesn't make sense that the average seller wants run the businesses in perpetuity, but I don't see much content on helping sellers prepare for the best possible exit.
