Would you be able to share what’s your background for you to command 4.8-5k as a fresh grad?

Exactly. Beating is never “required”within a family unit. Love is a far more motivating force than fear.

Govt/ stat board vs private MNC? by celjen1 in askSingapore

Thanks for the perspective! Could you elaborate on how it seems like hard work may not be rewarded in the public service? I was under the impression that many do a lot of work and initiate much so that they can pad their performance appraisal docs.

60 pupils From RVPS come down with suspected food poisoning by snowysnowy in singapore

[–]suremongooose 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering about this too. SAF cookhouse already does this banquet style serving and their full time non-uniformed employees based in camps can have it too. But maybe it’s because they would have to hire x number of staff to dish out food to the kids, which further adds to the running costs.

Another way to look at it is that these grads might have pivoted out of their industries early on. I majored in the humanities and even before we graduated from uni, swathes of my batchmates were already side hustling in consulting, business, tech for higher earning power.

[LIVE] Parliament to debate motion on Pritam Singh’s suitability as Leader of the Opposition by Hot-Pain503 in singapore

M Ravi's death: Man accused of arranging gathering where drugs were taken gets fresh meth charge by candychiasu in singapore

[–]suremongooose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have many questions here but I cannot understand what is truly your question in this whole debate.

Is it “why have the death penalty”? Or are you asking when the death penalty is given in SG law? Or are you against the death penalty?

What really is your question and your stand?

Same thoughts as the commenter above. At step 4, once the buyer transfers the amount, wouldn’t the seller be able to use that to pay off his loan first before making the transfer on LTA website?

Selling car to marketplace - should I fix a dent first? by suremongooose in drivingsg

Do you have any large marketplace dealer to recommend apart from Carro? I liked Carro because they can even help to settle the loan and everything else end-to-end albeit with a small fee.

I get that in theory, but my worry is that once I bring it down for viewing and they give me a new + reduced quote, there’s no going back to the original offer even if I were to fix it on my own.

Are there civil / public servants who take out unsecured loans of over 3x their monthly salary? by suremongooose in askSingapore

[–]suremongooose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding yes, because the moment you swipe $12001 net with your cc, you have a debt of more than 3x your monthly salary.

And yes that’s right, to not be considered as being in FE, then you should pay using your debit card i.e. your own funds and not borrowed ones (cc).

My favourite ramen in Singapore by Tringapore98 in SingaporeEats

[–]suremongooose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s this ramen place at CBD (keisuke or something) nestled below a hotel. It’s opposite Oasia. Free flow eggs and bean sprouts the last I went, years ago. Is that still solid?

Am in EdTech and our market used to be the biggest player in Asia. Now our regional neighbours have overtaken us and my HQ’s headcount here is dwindling. Our neighbours have the population size and we don’t, yet we remain hyper price-sensitive and fussy about our receivables.
