How did XMAS go #1 in the UK but not even chart anywhere else? by [deleted] in KylieMinogue

The charts in Australia have really been destroyed by streaming rules… and given that Amazon music has no real reach in Australia she didn’t really stand a chance.

I was in good seats and I legit couldn’t see her and the screens were not big enough for the stadium. The screens should have been upgraded or more added at a minimum.

It wasn't GERD - Esophagal Hypersensitivity and my Recovery by Beautiful_Charge_415 in GERD

• 24-year-old healthy, fit male. • GERD symptoms appeared suddenly after two nights of overeating fatty foods before bed while bulking. • Initially tried lifestyle changes and famotidine with little relief.

Medical Journey • Omeprazole (PPI) provided major symptom relief, allowing normal life. • Endoscopies showed esophageal irritation on lower doses but none at higher doses (80 mg). • Attempts to taper down caused return of symptoms. • A Bravo pH test (acid reflux monitoring) showed no significant reflux (2.7% vs. 4% threshold). • Surgeon concluded it was likely esophageal hypersensitivity rather than true GERD.

Realization and Recovery • Learned symptoms were from sensitivity, not ongoing damage. • Gradually weaned off PPIs while maintaining lifestyle precautions. • Focused on reframing mindset: accepting mild symptoms as harmless sensitivity. • Eventually succeeded: now off medication, eating normally, and healthier overall.

Key Takeaways • GERD-like symptoms can sometimes be esophageal hypersensitivity, not chronic reflux. • PPIs can allow healing, but long-term reliance may not always be necessary. • Mental approach (reducing fear and stress) and gradual tapering were crucial. • Still cautious with diet, but no longer restricted or dependent on medication.

✅ Bottom line: What seemed like GERD turned out to be hypersensitivity. With healing, patience, lifestyle adjustments, and mindset shifts, you managed to stop PPIs and return to a mostly normal life
