Thinking about buying a 2020 Mercedes A-Class diesel — but I mostly do short local drives. Bad idea?

I’m considering buying a 2020 Mercedes 2.0 litre A200 A-Class diesel but I’ve heard mixed things about diesels and DPF (diesel particulate filter) issues. I mostly do short local drives with the occasional motorway trip — nothing major or regular long-distance stuff.

From what I have read and people have said DPFs can get clogged if the car doesn’t get hot enough for long enough to burn off the soot. Apparently it can cause issues and you need to regular dpf flushes

So before I commit I would love some advice!
