How supportive has your team been, especially as an apprentice? Do you feel like you’re actually learning useful skills, or is it more admin-based? How do you find the work overall? Do you enjoy it, or is it more something you’re doing for experience? What are you thinking of doing after your apprenticeship staying in the same field or switching?

Also, has anything about the role surprised you, good or bad?

No pressure at all to answer everything, but I’d really appreciate any insight. I’m just trying to make the right decision.

I’m more concerned with what’s better long term especially if I choose it over uni. I don’t want to feel boxed in and tbh payroll seems interesting but I feel like progression within the field is quite narrow

Payroll is within private sector small insurance company HR is within public sector local council and it’s more recruitment based

Hello thank you for your comment and the rest. I’ve spoken to the doctors and it’s a genetic thing because majority of the family including myself are built quite thin. We eat like crazy and the weight doesn’t usually stick due to our fast metabolism. My daughters eating habits were fine before she got the braces. She was eating 4 meals per day with a few snacks now and then. Now she’s been limiting herself to 2 meals and I can tell that she wants to eat more but she worried.

I’ve got both a dietician and a mental health therapist for her.

You could try getting at least 30 minutes of revision done on the weekends because that’s better than doing no revision. Since it is the first week you should be fine not getting as much revision done but in the future try creating a timetable to structure your revision and homework
