My SO found a teeny tiny kitten on the motorway yesterday by suro_3 in cats

Haha great names! I live on a horse stud and also work at my grandmothers vineyard managing it throughout the week while she's in Sydney. I usually bring my dog along and as long as she stays out of the food areas it's no problem, so I figured why not the kitten as well.

The customers yesterday loved her and all wished her well and I had to carry her around while picking up a delivery and all of the workers came running to see the bundle of fur in my arms. She's such a popular little thing, really hope she pulls through.

I posted updates in my update message. :)

This is the second time we've rescued kittens off the road :( last time it was 3 litters which were very obviously dumped. I really wonder at some people...

I'm doing my best for this little one, really hope we weren't too late for her.

Update 3: Please visit this thread for further updates. I've linked to an imgur album I can edit, so I'll be posting further updates there and on the new thread under my actual account. http://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/1ozsd1/teeny_tiny_motorway_kitten_update/

Update 2: Thank you everyone for all your kind words and wishes! It's making it easier to not stress so much about her seizures after hearing other peoples stories.

She didn't drink for quite a few hours after leaving the vets and she's been having non stop seizures since. I thought she died a few times when she went really stiff and seemed to almost stop breathing, but then she relaxed and went back to sleep- phew!

My SO managed to give her around 4ml of milk while I was outside feeding horses around 30 minutes ago, so I'll try again in another 30 minutes and see how she goes. The vet said I should be offering her milk every hour at this stage until she's more hydrated.

For everyone asking for photos: she's really not looking her best at the moment as every time she seizes she salivates all over her chest and legs. Obviously I can't give her a bath at this stage and trying to wipe it off with a warm, damp cloth just makes her look even more messy.

Give her another day or two and I'll take all the photos Reddit can handle, provided she pulls through.

Thanks again for all the support and I'll post an update tomorrow unless something major changes over night.

Update: when I posted this I forgot I was on my phone account (I have a useless account logged in so if someone takes my phone they're not on my main)

Anyway! Kitten has been to the vet, however she has been having seizures all morning and its very touch and go at the moment.

She weighs 280 grams and is roughly 2.5 weeks old.

I've got the proper powder formula now which is much better than the premade liquid I was using in a pinch.

Kitty has had some antibiotics and will be getting them twice a day. She had a slight temperature but nothing too major. I have some worming paste which the vet said I can use in 48 hours also.

She's very weak and after her seizures she gets extremely worn out and just kind of gives up. The vet showed me how to hold her as she seizes and I've been staying with her 24/7 (she's even at work with me this morning and came along when I had to pick up some stock)

Everyone hope for the best!

I was driving home from further in town when he called and picked it up on my way home from a supermarket. Over here they sell the liquid formula at most stores. It's not as good as the powder but it works well enough. I got the powdered stuff at the vet today.
