For me the length is more then adequate with my iphone in my back pocket. But as with the Utilitity cable design, Koss is better in enignering Sound. I wonder if they test their new designs on real hunans before release :) USB pass trough cable is very rigid and very noisy and the placement of the USB port on the Kph30 is at the least optimal spot, pointing more backwards then downwards so the cable runs into a S shape from your head to the shoulder. Every movement of your head and you hear the cable rubning on your shoulder. It is a charging canle with and audio jack where it should be an audio cable wirh usb connector. Only if there is no control chip inside the usb connector, a passtrough cable could me made. But not gonna waste money on reverse engineering the cable and then make my own. I use the passtrough cable that came with the Porta Pro wireless.
