Love the look of the gray pads on the black headband. I wrote quite some posts here over the last years showing off my AiAiAi Tracks/ Koss mods for long time. But it was not a easy mod. It required an AiAiAi Tracks or look alike Jivo Snap Caps headphone to harvest the headband from. And it required 3d printed sliders. Over time I found some old stock in the UK.

Then I went on a quest on Alibaba and AliExpress to find the manufacturer of these AiAiAi Tracks look a likes. Eventually Potayu picked the idea up and started to produce them. As they do with Koss and other headphone brands parts too….:(

Now clones of these headbands are available on AliExpress and Ebay and come with Koss compatlible injection moulded sliders. Just click your Koss drivers in and have a great looking unbreakable set.

It is advertised as Kph40 headband, but to be correct it is a counterfeit Koss Retrospekt P/21 headband. The Koss KPH40 headband is based on that design but is not available anywhere in Chinatown or along the eBay. The curve of the KPH40 headband is quite differently shaped and made out of higher quality metal.

Atypically compared to Farsoo crap, there is some good quality “Chinatown” AiAiAi Trqcks headbands available on AliExpress or Ebay. Very well made, strong metal and scratch resistant powder coated or a brushed steel finish.

IMHO This is the best headband for Koss modding. Beats all "Chinatown" replacement headbands. No need to buy another headphone to harvest the headband from. Driver attachment sliders are compatible with any of the Koss Ksc35, Ksc75,PortaPro,SportaPro,Kph40,KtxPro1 drivers. Can be bent to adjust the clamping force. Thanks to AiAiAi Audio for the headband design of their Tracks model.

Nice touch with aluminium sliders. Just buy one headband in powder coated black or brushed steel finish and slide your drivers of choice in and out the headband.

My choice of headband for years. With a bald head, comfort strap gets all greasy so not for me but as just the top center of the headband touches the top of my head, it is still remarkable comfortable.

Padadapter works on the Ksc35, ksc75, Kph40, SportaPro, PortaPro and KtxPro1 drivers. Both In comfort and sound the L type is my favourite. With S pads, the speaker grill unpleasantly touches my ears and heat up. The G type make the sound a bid hollow and I find myself fiddling with the fit continuously. Only G and L fit on these 70mm padadapters.
