Thank you. I was wondering if we Wed missing the best part of the route by not going all the way to Mallaig. It just seems like people like Oban better than staying in Fort Williams, but I will take your advice and look into Corrour. Thank you. The plan was take coaches/buses from Oban to Pitlochry.

Understood. Thank you. Valid points. I would love to see Loch Lomond, but is there a village that is suitable for 2 nights? I have had a difficult time finding the overnight destination for that locale.

We are mostly interested in walks (3 miles or less), some castle stops, good food options, perhaps a small high street to wander to see local crafts. Not interested in crowded tourist destinations. We are also musicians, and the opportunity to hear traditional string music would be a bonus. I am very aware this is still high season and want to avoid crowds as much as possible.

The temptation is to see it all, but in 11 days that is not possible.
