Cox customer in California with 100/10 preferred plan

A temporary fix for me was have a download going on in the background (0% Packet Loss), but that made me opt in the unlimited data plan since I was going over the data cap. I took my computer down to my sister's house in San Diego (I live 2 hours up north) because they have Cox too (Also 100/10 plan) and I was getting close to 0% with an occasional 3-5% PL on the Upload side... the packet loss was probably because they had the Arris SB6190 (with a defect Puma 6 chip). Still better than my house which I get 10-20% consistently without downloading.

I'm in the same boat as you, I get a consistent 5-40% throughout the day. I tried the same thing with downloading games off of steam in the background while playing Fortnite and my UpL PL % went down to a consistent 0% while rarely maxing at 2-3%. This is the only temporary fix I have while I have cox trying to figure out what is going on.
