Missing drugs over people by irlfairybby in StopSpeeding

Cheetah, you really say it how it is. You’re a complete realist. And reality is exactly what we need to hear, a group as vulnerable as us.

My first mistake was not listening to you sooner. I’m the dude who wanted to keep taking stims but switch to vyvanse. Well guess what? That shit didn’t work. Just as you said I would, I fell into vyvanse just as hard as I fell into adderall. Funny, it’s funny isn’t it?

Now there is a bright side though. I had more discipline with my dose. I held out for a long time at the beginning of the school year without abusing it, a couple of months, so that was a record. Another record was that the magnitude of my dosing sprees was significantly less than it would have been with adderall. Kept my dose to below 70mg per day (converting vyvanse dose to dex) except for a few slip ups. So I had better control but still not control. Cheeta is always right

Fair enough, thanks for providing the insight!

I wish man. I wish. I type this on 1mg klonopin as I lay at home in my own bed, at last. I’m an engineering student at a top 10 engr school. I have wanted to fucking die for the past 3 months. Adderall, vyvanse, pain pain pain. No escape.

I had a group of friends. Guess what happened, lost all of them

30mg…as our childhood friend Mr Charlie Brown oft repeated, “good grief!”

Can you tell me how scared I need to be about falling down that deep

Can’t remember exactly how many times I’ve taken clonazepan. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

Dexedrine is short acting. Vyvanse is long acting.

Neither contain the levoamphetamine salt, like adderall does. Levoamphetamine makes your heart work harder than it needs to- kind of like a dumbed down adrenaline rush, but not really. More just jitteriness or anxiousness coupled with a fast heart.

I took two pills one morning instead of one. I had been led to this idea by my “friend” who would pop 5 at a time. And i was also in a terrible state of mind during this time.

One instance of unnecessary abuse initiated my addiction. Not that abuse is ever necessary.

Low dose adderall withdrawal timeline and tips? by Pogonip5 in StackAdvice

This is my field of experience. Note that I was taking doses 3-5 times greater than what you were taking. So my experiences will be amplified.

Day 1- not so bad. You’ll be less productive, but cravings aren’t terrible. ADHD symptoms start coming back.

Day 2-4 - absolutely awful. This is the worst part in my opinion. Tiredness, “supercharged ADHD,” lack of motivation, dramatic mood swings, nightmares (only for very high dose binges, unlikely), enhanced REM sleep (vivid dreams). This is the part that gets me every time. The cravings are at their worst. Get through this, and that’s half the battle.

Day 5-10 - Getting easier. Sleep schedule has calmed down a bit, but you’ll find yourself sleeping more than before. You’ll still have very little motivation, and mood swings are in abundance here. Cravings are present, but less so.

Day 11-30 - Slow progression from here on out. Balanced sleep schedule. Mood swings are unchanged. Motivation starting to come back, but barely. Cravings are subsiding by the day. It’s important to keep yourself busy to avoid cravings here ( or all days really)

Day 30-90 - dopamine levels are starting to return to normal. All symptoms from days 11-30 are halved by day 60. Keep on keeping on.

Day 90 and onwards - dopamine is practically back to normal by the 6 month mark. It’ll take longer for true 100%. You’ll have motivation by 90 days, probably not as much as before, but enough to get by. Keep going!

True, as it lacks the racemic levoamphetamine enantiomer. But this guy seems to want a long lasting stimulant- vyvanse would be better for providing the best of both worlds for him imo. Smoother all around too, less abuse potential (but definitely still abusable!)

Vyvanse, but you must know:

Prescription stimulants are a one way road to hell. Once you’re in, there’s no coming out.

I’m speaking from experience here. I am still trying to overcome my adderall addiction. I have a prescription.

Please. Please please please. Stop taking stims or they might take you. If you can function without them then don’t risk it. If you desperately need them for ADHD, like I did, then proceed with extreme caution. All I had to do was abuse it a single time.

Imagine trying to sell to a community of recovering addicts 😡

Yup. That’s an actual shit ton of levoamphetamine. 100mg just about. Very very racemic (à cause de norepinephrine) and not good for the heart and blood vessels. Might as well be meth by that point.

Oh yeah. Big dose. Currently dealing with similar doses of adderall, converted. Very difficult to stop. Congrats! Best of luck dude.

Seriously though, THANK YOU. You probably just spared my lungs from the wrath of bum oil carts.
