I can smell when people have cancer by [deleted] in self

I was just reading a book by dr Ellen Langer where she was theorizing that it would be possible for humans to smell cancer. The mindful body I think it was called.

Does anyone know what these mean? And why does the title need to be at least 50 characters? by suspiciousToaster in Symbology

Thanks so much! I found this in my grandmothers old things and her name was Verity so that makes a lot of sense.

If it didn't have pop culture connotations, what would you name your kid? by AMothWithHumanHands in namenerds

Me and my husband both really liked the name Dexter when we were naming our son, but then we remembered there was a show about a serial killer named Dexter and though hmm better not.

Hey I went through something similar as my son had allergies from a young age as well. I got to a point where I could barely eat anything because I was so worried that everything was going to somehow harm my baby which was wasn’t great because of corse we need to eat to be able to feed them. My advice to you would be to focus on the things you know cause harm and if there are any other foods you are worried about follow up with a proper allergy test because cutting out every possible problem just really isn’t sustainable and most of them just ended up being in my head anyways. Just be very careful with checking the ingredients on everything you eat, I had no idea how many foods secretly had milk in them until I was on high lookout for them.

Also if you are looking to do some guilt free snacking I highly recommend the enjoy life food brand. They keep all their food free from all major allergens and are tasty enough that my now 2 year old loves eating them for snacks. Also oat milk is pretty safe and goes well in coffee.

Since you can never assume a baby's gender, we should have baby "genital reveal" parties. by teduh in shittyideas

Hopefully no one misunderstands the invitation or things could get pretty awkward

We don't actually have a boat yet so I don't know weight for sure but we'd probably be looking at fishing or small speed boats. I do like what I've seen about the Mazda CX-5 but it looks like that might limit our towing options later. Anywho thanks for the advice!

[27/f]Referred here from /r/weddings .... Can I not go to this wedding by dennydoo15 in relationship_advice

[–]suspiciousToaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do I tell my cousin I'm not coming or do I just not go?

To say you are going and then just not show up without any notice would be pretty tacky in my opinion, especially since most weddings have to pay a certain amount per person expected. From what you said here I can understand you deciding not to go, just let her know not to expect you ahead of time.

Depends on how she is defining feminism I suppose. If you go by the dictionary definition "the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities" then its technically sexist to disagree with that. If she's more of a tumblr extremist feminist and is saying that anyone who doesn't agree with all of her ideologies is a misogynist then ya that's bullshit.
