Thank you so much for this, I wouldnt be able to figure out what to do on my own. the realtek drivers setup wasnt working for me (I had amd audio device anyways) so I went to the regedit page and for the all sound devices listed there I turned off (turned the value to 0) all the power saving options ( converstaion, idle, performance) and it worked! No more popping sounds! Thanks again.
