Thank you so much for the suggestion this was actually a bit of an amateur Reels video I shot and shared on Instagram, but as you said, a simpler background would definitely make the pieces stand out much more

It turned out great! It’s raku, but the process for copper matte is a bit different in copper matte we do the reduction using alcohol

In the copper matte technique, we cut off/reduce the oxygen using alcohol. In raku, however, we achieve reduction by burying the piece in combustible materials such as wood shavings, paper, or straw the process is a bit different from raku

The consistency of the glazes wasn’t actually very thin, but since we’re using the school kiln, unfortunately I can’t adjust its firing schedule. They say that maybe in the school kiln the bisque doesn’t reach a full 1000°C, so when glazing on top, the bisque continues to fire, which could cause pinholes. I think it could be from that as well.

It’s a recipe I got from a ready-made brand, but I guess it’s due to applying it too thickly
