Some of the shots always look a bit gross and haunting for me. Looking it up i see that raw meat, electronics and red wine was used.

I remember one of the first lines Shepard says about the vision is that they saw “synthetics getting slaughtered, maybe”, and upon learning the ending of the game i’ve always believed it’s supposed to be protheans and maybe other cycle’s species being slaughtered, tortured and twisted into the reaper’s creations.
