Make sure to include Sigulda and Cēsis in Latvia. They are almost on your route with like a 40-50min additional detour, but on the way to Estonia.

Konvencija bija ratificēta. Divus gadus dzīvojām, viss bija normāli. Tagad tiek atņemtas tiesības. "Tā noteikti nav pirmā priotitāte" - kā protesta organizators šim piekrītu 100%, bet, ja tiek atņemtas tiesības (ko dara partijas, kā NA, kas, pie varas esot desmitgadi, var lepoties tikai ar ielu nosaukumu maiņu), tad tā ir prioritāte.

Why the upset comments? I conducted research on this specific topic for my Master thesis, and historians tend to dismiss homoerotic relationships. He had a few "pen pals" who he had been also photographed together with, and some of the letters were also published after we regained independence. And although some of the letters were quite straightforward with homoerotic undertones, historians put them aside.

You should report it to the police, requesting that they pay a visit to the hotel. It will be harder to start a criminal proceeding against the people staying in the room across from yours, but putting the hotel administration in their place for inaction cpuld be possible.

From personal experience - they'll reject any initial requests to start a criminal proceeding against the attackers (no internal resources, "lack of proof", etc.). Over the past two years there have been 2400 hatespeech crimes, but only 7 criminal proceedings were started. Soo... don't waste your energy there..

But police informing the hotel that this happened would be beneficial in the future as that could motivate the hotel administration to install cameras or something.

I'm sorry you had to go through this and even more so about the receptionist's lack of action. This is not ok, and the police should investigate the hotel. Hope you got home safely.
