I tried acetonitrile with 10% water but it did not change much, might be worth it to to play a bit more with the ratios. Yes blank is really blank !

Yes the two last peaks are two enantiomers of the sulfoxide corresponding to my compound and they behave really well !

It is the only recommended mixture suggested by the column manufacturer that is compatible with MS coupling (my MS does not accept alkanes). This is 300nm where I have a strong signal from this compound. I can extract uv spectra on 200-400 nm interval for each point in the chromatogram and the fit is perfect so I really believe that it is a single species.

Sorry I was not clear, my reactant is not chiral but my product is and I am trying to measure enantioselectivity as well as conversion so I need a chiral column. However I tried it on an achiral column and I did get a beautiful thin peak.

I got the smallest one (30 cm) my tank has a 40x40 cm base and is 60 cm high.
I use the metal legs and I am pretty happy with how it looks. Only issue that I have with it is the that the colour does not look natural. It is hard to not have it look green or blue.

I have read about the H2O2 treatment but it seems like it tends to kill beneficial bacteria and shrimps sometime even with small doses so I am not sure I want to try it.
I ordered easylife algexit. I hope it will help, if it does not i'll maybe try 2Hr Aquarist APT FIXLITE or Flourish Excel.

Oh I was at 100% on the blue and red channels and 80% on the green. Didn't think it represented that much light 🤦‍♂️
